life is good wine label

Happy Wednesday everyone, life is good!  I've made this wine label for the last of my work promotion-- fun to come up with crafty ways to rent more rooms (especially when it's pouring rain outside).  Me, being me... I've combined a few challenges.  I had an extra one of Karen's digital The Craft's Meow flowers printed out on the Hero Arts Earth Designer paper from this project, so I used up those scraps (Moxie Fab Challenge) and part of the other sheets (stamped with the Paper Smooches hexagons for the Cards challenge).  I added the woodgrain background so I could make another project for The Craft's Meow birthday celebration challenge (use photo below for inspiration).  And then I found inspiration from Virginia's recent post about using a coffee filter and added one to this tag for another natural layer for the Moxie Fab World "Household Items" Challenge.  And for one last challenge I wanted to play along with the Lily Pad flower challenge.  And the official word on the bride's reaction to the gift bags, "guest bags looks so amazing, you really outdid yourself."  Many thanks to my blogland cheering squad and the in real life friends I recruited to help assemble.

Materials: The Craft's Meow digital flower, Paper Smooches Hexagon, SRM sticker, American Crafts buttons, Hero Arts pearls, PTI double sided banner die, PTI edgers die, Tim Holtz woodgrain embossing folder, May Arts natural string and Organic Cotton with natural Stripes ribbon, coffee filter, Tattered Angels black mist, Smooch Vanilla ice spritz, PTI kraft card stock, Hero Arts Earth Designer patterend paper, glitter pen, Versafine black ink

let's chat

I just won a set of Paper Smooches stamps from Marie so as a thank you I thought it'd be fun to play along with the two challenges she's on the DT for, Paper Smooches Sparks (see photo below) and Young Crafters Unite (use sewing or stitching on your card).  I took a class a couple of weeks ago and Jenyfur gave us some tips for working with Faber Castell gelatos, and I'm hooked.  Too bad I only bought 4 of them...

you're in my thoughts

This week's CASE Study had a beautiful CAS card by Laura and I immediately thought of Maile's PTI Gracious Vases set.  Lawnscaping's latest challenge is to find inspiration somewhere, so this is a great card for that challenge, since I've done a pretty close CASE of Laura's card.  And I used a Hero Arts sentiment so I could finally play along with their March Fabulous Flowers challenge.

And for those curious on my gift bag/box updates, thank you for all your morale support on my various posts.  I am happy to report that I'm done :)  With some crafty help, I managed to sit down and do the last 17 bags (the correct answer to my question), and in the end we made a few extra and ended up with a total of 82 bags/boxes and 100 tags to go on them.  What a mission....

Materials: PTI Gracious Vases, Hero Arts Live and Laugh, Cosmo Cricket Odds and Ends patterned paper, PTI kraft ink, Versafine black ink, Versacolor inks, Hero Arts shadow inks, Tim Holtz distress stain antique linen, PTI cream card stock

just call me bag lady, part 2

Welcome to just call me bag lady, part 2.  No one got the exact total left to make right on yesterday's post... so I'll open it up on this post... keep guessing, a few of you were close..  Today's post have the skier theme... if you need pinecone ideas click the other post.

I haven't used much patterend paper on the bags, but since the wedding colors are yellow and gray, I thought it'd be fun to throw in some Authentique paper and play along with their March sketch challenge.

Next up I have two entries for the new Lawnscaping Challenge, which is find inspiration, I found inspiration from the latest issue of Real Simple (see the fun chevron purse on the left).  Then over the breakfast table this morning Mr. Ben found inspiration from the box of Cheerios and wanted to play along.  I got Dan to demostrate the multi-loop bow for him so he could enter Emily's guest challenge on Do More with Less.

And 2 more bags to share, I think they would work for the CAS-ual Friday challenge "a pattern, an image and a sentiment".

Since I'm not done with the bags, I may have another post to share...  or perhaps I'll move on to something else...  I still like Lynn's idea that there should be vote for favorites.

Materials: will post later

just call me bag lady, part 1

So I've been working hard on getting the gift bags done for my sister's upcoming wedding, and the pressure's on... so please forgive this photo heavy post-- but I've gotta share all the work I've been doing, b/c you, my blogging friends, will appreciate it.  And if you love all these come back tomorrow, for "just call me bag lady, part 2".

I threw in a few challenges with my bags, just to keep things interesting.  This bag uses the Paper Smooches Sparks Challenge as a source of inspiration.  I've used a layer of felt under the pine cone and a ribbon tab from the inspirational photo.  Loving my new Paper Smooches Geo-Graphic stamps.

This bag uses this week's Skipping Stones Sketch.

These two bags work for the Waltzingmouse Sketch Challenge.  I've used the WMS Very Vintage Label #1.

And this just goes to show that when I recruit helpers that I can mass produce, but only when there's someone sitting across the table from me keeping me on track.  So anyone have a guess how many I have left to make???

Materials for various bags: Impress Stamps pine cone, Waltzingmouse Stamp Very Vintage Label 1, Paper Smooches Geo-graphic background stamp, Skipping Stones Grunge background stamp, PTI kraft and dark chocolate and cream card stock, Spellbinders Nestabilites Labels 1 and 8, PTI Mat Stack 4 and 5 dies, PTI double sided banner die, Versafine black ink, Tim Holtz distress inks gathered twigs and antique linen, Tim Holtz distress stain antique linen, Tim Holtz woodgrain embossing folder, Smooch Vanilla Ice spritz, Tattered Angels graphite mister, Fiskars corner rounder, Coredinations card stock, May Arts natural twine, PTI edgers die, PTI Tag It Sale die, PTI kraft felt, PTI kraft ribbon, kraft bags from Ben Franklin, kraft boxes

Happy St. Patrick's Day and more bags

How do you skip a St. Patrick's day blog hop for an Irish stamp company?  Since I don't really have any St. Patrick's day themed stamps, I went with the green on green look.  I've used this week's Waltzingmouse Sketch Challenge with the ColourQ colors and Waltzingmouse Stamps so I could hop along with the p-a-r-t-y!  Simon Says Stamps's challenge this week is "a bit of green".

Okay and since I've jumped on board for the WMS party, I didn't want my friends at The Craft's Meow to feel left out-- as they're celebrating their 1st birthday party.  So I have made two more bags (bringing the grand total to go do down to...  49), one with the birthday challenge sketch and one with the monthly sketch. Both use the Craft's Meow Vintage Snowflakes.

Materials: WMS Big Blooms Chrysanthemums, Coredinations card stock, PTI simply chartreuse card stock, PTI Spring Moss card stock, green card stock from scraps, Verafine black ink, Versamark, My Mind's Eye rhinestones, Perfect Pearls

Bags: Custom skier stamp, The Craft's Meow Vintage Snowflakes, PTI Mat Stack 1 dies, PTI Tag It Sale die, My Favorite Things scallop die, PTI double sided banner die,  PTI snowflake impression plate, PTI kraft card stock, Twinery twine, vellum, Stampendous white embossing powder, Tattered Angels black mist, kraft bags
