congrats, you did it!

I made this card last week for a custom card order for a graduation.  Love the PTI wet paint set, trying to remember why it's been neglected?

let's get together

Happy Memorial Day!  Playing along with this month's PTI Blog Hop, inspired by these fun wood blocks.  When inspiration fails me, I make coffee cards.   I'm off for a fun filled day of laundry, but check out this fun camping coffee photo I took over the weekend.  Now, who's going to bring me coffee at work today?

70 birthday

Greetings crafty peeps.  Sometimes I accept card commissions when I really do not have time-- this card being a great example.  But I work well under pressure...  I'm thinking the card should have happy on there somethere... but I think the birthday person will get the message, right?

sending hugs

Sending hugs...  so this card served two purposes... a in-real-life card for a custom card order and a virtual card to someone in need of a hug.  I think I should just accept that I send virtual cards more often then I send actual cards, is that bad for a girl who loves paper and ribbons?  So Wplus9 has started a sketch challenge...  I am such a sucker for challenges, but many of you already knew that.  I loved Dawn's former Mood Boards... so I'm on board to play with a sketch challenge.  I decided it was time to dust off some oldie but goodie WPlus9 stamps.  I added some May Arts ribbon to the tag, I probably would've liked to do something to the background, but I ran out of time.

thinking of you

Super speedy tag this fine Monday morning for you.  It started out as a thought for the CASology "music" challenge, with a Unity background stamp, and then morphed into a tag for the new PTI Make It Monday (fussy cutting).  I've used the PTI vellum, which I love... plus some wood stars, sequins, May Arts ribbon and washi tape.  Right, no time to chat, over and out.

congratulations and take heart

I couldn't resist...  and bought the new Neat and Tangled Gardenia Blooms set...  so playing along with the Little Tangles "Clean and Simple" challenge.  Happy Sunday.

gift card holder set- WMS pj party

It's a PJ Party over at Waltzingmouse Stamps and I had grand plans to play along with all the fun, and then who knows what I've been up to (lots, but we'll skip those details). So here's a fun little gift card holder set for the sketch challenge.  I used glassine bags (and dry embossed them) and then added MFT tags stamped with two WMS stamp sets and added May Arts ribbon to the tags.  TGIF.

need to venti?

Happy Tuesday crafty friends.  I was inspired by ~amy~'s card this morning, she's was playing along with the Paper Smooches SPARKS inspiration challenge.  Coffee cards are my go to when I'm looking to play in my craft room.  I used the Paper Smooches Hot Concotions take out mug and sentiment and the Paper Smooches polka dot background.  I used a PTI tag and background and some May Arts silk ribbon.

Not related... yesterday the Amgen Tour of California started in our cute little town-- it was so much fun to see this huge amazing event set up shop and the speed out of town.  Click here to see some great photos of the action.

happy mother's day

Happy Mother's Day!  The top card I made for a friend to give to her mother, love the collage/water color feel to the card.  The pieces include: PTI sentiment, Lawn Fawn die cut, PTI leaves die, My Favorite Things tag die, May Arts silk ribbon and burlap string, doily from work, PTI vellum, SRM sticker, patterned paper from stash, water colors.  The bottom project I made for my mom, mostly PTI goodies, but I dry embossed the SRM glassine bag with a Stampin Up/Sizzix embossing folder, May Arts ribbon and a Lawn Fawn sentiment die.  I added a mini flat card inside, now all I need to do is write on it before I see my mom later today.  And did you know that this month is my card blog's 5th birthday.  Amazing to think of the amount of time, projects, crafty friends, money spent on card making supplies, classes and a whole lot of crafty fun that has happened over the last 5 years.  Perhaps I'll work on a virtual party post... or if not, I'm just acknowledging that I'm having fun and that's really the point, right?

thank you teacher

A couple of thank you cards for teachers for a card order.  The top card was a redo of this card and the bottom card uses the CAS(E) this sketch challenge.  Happy Saturday!
