A quick post (as I'm heading out the door to the airport in 10), sharing the card I made for the WPlus9 Throwback challenge... and then I used it in last night's card class. Are you going to send homemade Valentine's Day cards?

Happy Monday crafty friends! This week's PTI Make it Monday is ombre die cuts, so while Melissa used gelatos I went for the water color look. Wishing everyone a great week, I'm excited to be a part of a social media workshop and teaching card class this week-- and then I'm off to a stand up paddle board yoga retreat with my sister in law, super excited!

Happy Sunday crafty friends. I saw the latest CAS(E) this sketch and immediately thought of the sun die cuts I had somewhere in my drawer of scraps from ages ago... after a bit of digging, I'm happy to say I found it! I used some PTI clouds, Sugar Pea Designs sentiment, coffee and die cuts and personally I'm loving all the white. Thinking of snow, rain and coffee...

Coffee solves everything, right? Thanks Sugar Pea for the new goodies, I'm blaming ~amy~ again for the enabling (she created the Coffee Paper Lovers Facebook page, it's all her fault). But super quick, b/c I made the card below the other day for CAS(E) this sketch and I have minutes left to make the deadline. I added some May Arts burlap string to the card, b/c in addition to the water color trend, I'm a bit obsessed with ribbon. And feeling good about actually using patterned paper on my card, there must be a reason I have so much of it in my craft room, right? The black and white card are two somewhat neglected Hero Arts sets, so glad the challenge inspired me to pull them out. I'm going to use the card below in my Valentine's Day card class next week, and I am so excited to say for the first time in the 3 years I've been teaching card classes, I have prepped all the pieces a week ahead of time (my entire family was confused and wonder if I looked at the calendar wrong).

Who's ready for another PTI Blog hop? This month Nichole challenged us to find inspiration in Rex Ray's art and I saw the blue and decided to water color the centers of the PTI mat stack stamp (it's actually from the Everyday Treats set (retired), add the PTI Places Happy Camper set (best $5 I've spent!) and my very first set of sentiments (Daily Designs) and the road from last month's Petite Places set. I am kinda obsessed with the water coloring trend at the moment so I used a combination of water color pencils and water colors to create the background. And because we're on a vintage trailer kick, here's a CAS card I made last night for my fabulous husband, who's building a campground. To check out our soon-to-be campground, called the Inn Town Campground, click here. And if these trailers have inspired you, go check out my inspiration over at Tag You're It Challenge and play along.

Two projects, both using the new PTI Bold Blossoms set and playing with water colors. The first card is me being organized (seriously stop the press) for my next card making class (I'm a full 10 days ahead of myself vs the normal 24 hours). And the tag is me, being me... I hand painted the stripes onto the water color paper and then was experimenting with different inks and papers... for the bottom flower I used a Hero Arts shadow ink and for the top one I painted the stamp with the water colors and then stamped it. It has a bit of a shimmer to the bloom that's fun in the right light. I can't think of any challenges for either of these projects....

My photo box light broke, so please excuse the off color... but I made this card this morning and while my fabulous husband doesn't like the sentiment, I thought it was funny. The coffee set and sentiments are from The Ton, the text print background (heat embossed in gold) is Hero Arts.

A friend ordered 3 sympathy cards and it took me awhile to find the inspiration, the card above was the last one I needed to make. I hand painted the Lawn Fawn tag with water colors, used the WPlus9 flower, PTI sentiment, May Arts ribbon.
And thanks to the Facebook Coffee Lovers Group I got a nice reminder about the Merry Monday Christmas warm beverage challenge, so I used some more water colors, for the Lawnscaping challenge and made a mini hot cocoa tag with Lawn Fawn stamps and a fun collection of May Arts ribbon (who can resist the metallic velvet ribbon?). I just looked at the tag again, it lost one of its wooden stars-- ha ha... Hope everyone is starting their week off on the right foot....

Dreaming of an afternoon pick me up, so why not post this coffee project I made this morning. Lawnscaping Challenge is to incorporate watercoloring, so I added some color to the Lawn Fawn tag and then cut the cups out. The sentiment is from The Ton, but the stamped tag and dies and cups are from Lawn Fawn. May Arts silk ribbon. Now who's going to bring me coffee?
