sending hugs

Welcome to another PTI Blog hop... this month Nichole used this inspirational photo to challenge us to think beyond white.  I've used Altenew flowers, PTI sentiment and cover plate die to create my card today.  I used black distress inks and a piece of grey card stock for the background.  This is definitely not my go to style... but fun to try something different....  Can't wait to see what everyone else creates.

creative fuel and time for wine

I think I have mentioned that I make these cards most of the time as words of encouragement for myself, or expressions of my thoughts... and today's projects are so true to that.  Creative fuel with coffee... and always time for wine!  I was inspired by the Reverse Confetti sketch and the Curtain Call inspiration challenge for these two projects.  The first card uses mainly Reverse Confetti goodies (the embossing folder is from Sizzix and the stitched frame die is from MFT).  The second card uses all MFT dies and stamps and a piece of burlap ribbon from May Arts and water colors on an upcycled wedding invitation.

but first, coffee.

Happy Wednesday!  Seriously, my days never start without coffee...  even that 3:30am departure to the airport last month (started with coffee).  Today's card is inspired by the new MFT Sketch Challenge, I've been playing with some ucpcyled letterpress scraps, which are fabulous paper stock, so I added some distress inks and water and water colors to this wedding invitation and added a layer of thin vellum to cover up the details.  The dies are all MFT and the coffee cup is a sample letterpress that I cut into the coffee cup.  The "coffee first" sentiment is from Ellen Hutson.

hello gorgeous

Inspired by The Heart Desires challenge, the colors (of which I used some, but not all...forgive me for my loose interpretation on the challenge).  Couldn't find the elephant stamps (they're in there somewhere)....  I used Altenew stamps, MFT die and I used distress inks, water and watercolors on an upcycled letterpress wedding invite (the joys of getting the clean out from the local high end letterpress company!).

thank you flower card

Happy Tuesday crafty peeps.  I have a few card making anxieties, I'm terrible at tying bows (despite watching a number of tutorials) and I'm not always great at coloring... so using a three step stamp makes me look like a pro!  Thanks Altenew for the inspiration this month with your challenge.

feel better, friend

Happy Monday!  Today's PTI Past, Present, Future Challenge is featuring stamps from 2016 and I don't have any of the sets they featured, but I drew inspiration from Heather's card using a different PTI flower set (Bold Blossoms).  Another card to send to the friend going through chemo.

you're pretty darn amazing

Happy Sunday!  I've got a couple of cards this morning.  This first card is for the Ellen Hutson Pin Inspired Challenge (the theme is Aqua), so I combined an Ellen Hutson coffee cup with some MFT amazing goodies (which I have to return to their rightful owner this morning) and a Reverse Confetti die, to get the gradient aqua background I used a marker and then covered it with a PTI printed vellum.  My second card is for the MFT color challenge, I've got to tell you I don't like these color together at all.  I kept thinking I could make it (and another project) work and truth be known I'm not a fan.  And my final project is for the PTI Past, Present, Future Challenge, one of the stamps featured today is the You've Been Framed Hexagon set, which I have and I think I may have used, but it's not in the normal circulation of goodies and I don't have the coordinating cover plate (but I do for one of the other sets).  So to get around that I made one with MFT dies and PTI Kraft patterned paper.  Wishing everyone a lovely day, there's a parade in our town today if anyone's looking for something to do.

Hope your day is Fabulous

Happy Saturday crafty friends!  Playing along with some more challenges... the first card is for the PTI Past, Present, Future Challenge and while I don't have any of the stamps they featured in today's post, I drew inspiration from Laura's amazing card-- always fun to add a little color to embossing paste.  The sentiment for the butterfly card is from the PTI Uncorked set.  And while I was trying to figure out how I wanted to color my butterfly, I got a little splatter happy, so I made the card below with a new MFT sentiment (that my friend ordered, I'm just using it before she picks up her stamps).

And my final card is for the MFT Sketch Challenge, I used their new Uncorked stamp and dies, the stitched rectangle dies and a paterened paper from PTI (did anyone else go a little crazy on their PTI pre-anniversary paper sale?).  Wishing everyone a fabulous holiday weekend, I've got some crafty time today, so I might be back with more....

birthday wishes

Birthday wishes... playing along with another PTI Past, Present, Future Challenge inspired by Cristina's card, I don't have any of the sets Nichole used in today's post, so I used a MFT leaf on this card with a PTI sentiment and PTI inks- love the combo of simply chartreuse, ocean tides, terracotta tile and enchanted evening.  Hope everyone has a good holiday weekend.
