thank you teacher dragonfly card

A CAS one layer card, really need to pack my lunch for work, but Karen reminded me that there's only one more day to play along with this month's Artful Delight sketch challenge and as a past DT member I can tell you that winning a card kit would be fabulous!  At least we know my lunch will have cookies....

And check back tomorrow for a fun hop.....

doctor's orders

Happy Tuesday... so my older son went to the school's talent show and the younger one needed to stay home (for reasons we'll skip), so I decided to treat him to a baking session, something we don't do very often these days.  So we made a whole batch of chocolate chip cookies and I decided that since I really didn't need to eat all of them in one sitting, I should share some of them.  So I did a super quick CAS packaging job-- based on the WPlus9 Mood board inspiration and walked across the street and delivered the warm cookies to my mom.  Moxie Fab World is having a gift packaging challenge and this is perfect.

To recreate this project start with the a glassine bag, die cut out the center with a square die (or any other size) and place two sheets of acetate on the inside to create the window.  Die cut out tag, stamp sentiment and stamps (Wplus9 Fresh Baked), add a piece of washi tape to close and wrap package and tag to bag with May Arts twine.

Now we'll see if I don't eat all the remaining cookies....

And today's random photo share, went for a whirlwind trip to Southern California, a wedding, a memorial service and lots of family.

always & forever

Welcome to another 365 Cards Super Sketchy Sunday.  I've made a yellow and kraft wedding card for some friends who's recent marriage I got to celebrate last night (they eloped, but opted to have a party a couple of month later).  I used some Paper Issues goodies, UmWow Chipboard, May Arts burlap string and some SRM Stickers.  To see what the rest of the DT has created go check out their blogs.

home tweet home

Happy Saturday blog friends... do you ever have those weeks where you blink and all of sudden you've "neglected" your blog for 3 whole days (yes, I have a problem, but we already knew that).  Addicted to blogging?  But the crazy thing is that I've done a bunch of other non-crafty blogs (here and here) in those three days, does that count?

Right-o, enough rambling... today's card is for the WPlus9 Mood Board, b/c I've now won $10 from them 4 times (and yes, every time I win it costs me money to buy things, can't wait for my next round of goodies).  I've used the WPlus9 Folk Art Florals die, Unity sentiment, May Arts twine and burlap string and some Glitz washi tape.  Love the bright fun colors...  Right, we're off to a wedding, better go find my dancing shoes.

hello there birthday boy

So I'm not sure what I think of this card, my starting train of thought was the Muse Challenge (obviously I went for the elephants)...  I'm going to enter it in the Paper Crafts Idol challenge... (b/c I know I'll think about it on the eve of the deadline and not have time to play along).  We don't have to love every card right?

Materials: Glitz designs paper and tape, May Arts denim ribbon, Spellbinders Label die, SRM sticker, Lil Inker Stitched Square mat die, PTI impression plate

mr & mrs wine bottle tag

Shall we just rename my card blog "Homemade Wine Labels by Erin"?  Here's another cute one... (click here for yesterday's fabulous label). This week's PTI Make It Monday has a super easy technique to use a comb to give your stamps a bit more texture.  PTI Rosie Posie is such a great stamp, so with the addition of a PTI Tiny Tags sentiment, some May Arts chevron twill and silk, presto!  I embossed the wine bottle label with the PTI Sunrise Impression Plate (backside with the vertical lines) to add a bit more texture (hard to see in this photo).  And since Moxie Fab World is having a tag challenge, this is perfect for that one.  Ribbon Carousel Blog is having a "celebration" challenge.  Happy Monday all...  better stop procrastinating and get to work.

And the wine bottle is from one of my favorite vineyards in New Zealand, Rippon, above are some photos of the vineyard from our trip last month.

Burlap Wine Bottle Label

Happy Mother's Day!  So we all know I like making wine bottle labels.. so I've already played along with the Wplus9 Mood Board once, but the burlap kept calling my name.  And really, as a total May Arts ribbon JUNKIE who can resist a photo like that one?  I've combined May Arts 4 inch burlap, 2 inch sheer organza chiffon, sheer chiffon flower and natural burlap string.  But since the challenge was for Wplus9 I used defining words for the background and the Folk Art Florals die.  I just love the natural rustic feel to this project.  And since Moxie Fab World is having a gift wrap challenge, this is perfect, because really wine is probably one of the best gifts to give in our house!

let your dreams take flight, red and black

Welcome to another 365 Cards Super Sketchy Sunday, my circles made me think of fire works, so I went for a similar idea as this fun card.

Check out the rest of the DT and come play along with us:

thanks a latte gift card holder

Thanks a latte....  so another new challenge (deary me, never going to keep up with all of these), but it's all ~amy~'s fault... I mean really-- I love anything coffee related, so all these stacked cups just jumped out at me.  I couldn't find anything on the Fusion Challenge's blog to see if a non-card was going to work, but I wanted to play along with the Moxie Fab World gift card holder challenge.  I've got the PTI Warm Happiness Too mugs on a variety of papers from my stash (all pieces from previous Artful Delight card kits), Verve sentiment, Hero Arts newspaper background and all tied up with some yummy May Arts Solid Wrinkle ribbon.
