Sometimes my cards are channeling my inner self help guru, sometimes they're work trains of thoughts coming out in artistic means, sometimes I follow a thread with a challenge and see where it ends up. Today, these three cards are all for the Ellen Hutson Mix It Up Challenge, to use one of her stamps and an Avery Elle stamp. It was a great chance to pull out my limited collection of their respective stamps. The first card also works for the current Time Out Challenge (Winter, with an extra challenge of white on white). *Edited, I just realized that I didn't use any Ellen Hutson stamps on the first card, oops, my bad. My next challenge is to send this to my friend who lives in Alaska. The second card... you know I am not an animal person, so I'm rarely drawn to the cute animal stamps... but nice to do something a little different and personally I love all this open white space. And my third card is the opposite, trying to use more colored card stock... and since ~amy~ wondered where the coffee card was yesterday.... why not mix and match up sentiments from the two companies?

Happy Monday crafty friends... playing along with a number of challenges, you'll see I sorted mixed and matched a few of the same elements. The first card is for the MFT color challenge. The second card is for the Mojo Monday sketch and the final projects are for the PTI Make It Monday, heart masking technique challenge. I used the PTI scribbles stamps for my masking technique... I might do that idea again. Hope everyone has a great Monday, no holiday is my work world....

My Favorite Things sketch with this camping themed card (using Hero Arts stamps). Okay, back to editing photos from the amazing film festival we've got in our community this weekend. Happy Sunday crafty friends.

Happy Saturday crafty friends! I was inspired by the current CAS(E) this sketch and CASology theme to create this simple card. I combined Altenew trees with a Hero Arts sentiment and cut out the card stock with a MFT die. And below is a photo of the card set I made for a friend who wanted new stationery with the sentiment "I just can't adult today. Tomorrow doesn't look good either."

Welcome back to Tag You're It Challenge!! We hope you enjoyed the holiday break (as you can see, I've been crafting up a storm in that time), but always fun to get inspired by our guest designers and create fun tags. We're kicking off the New Year with Karin as our featured artist. We would love to see how her tag inspires you, please remember Tag You're It Challenge is an inspirational challenge, and not just a challenge where you create a tag, please share with us what inspired you from the featured artist (colors, shape, theme, technique).

The Little Tangles challenge is anything goes... so might as well make a coffee card, right? I used the Neat & Tangles coffee and sentiment, MFT dies and Hero Arts background stamp with white embossing powder.

Quick post before I miss the deadline for the MFT Sketch Challenge, I'm also playing along with the Ellen Hutson Mix It Up Challenge, I've used "big hugs" from a sentiment from Avery Elle and an Ellen Hutson coffee mug, plus MFT dies. Yesterday I posted that I was off to go take photos... since we're having some crazy winter weather here, I'm a tad amazed to tell you that my photos went viral and got picked up by several news channels, including the CBS National news! You can see more of the photos on the Outside Inn's Facebook page or the video.

Happy Sunday! I got the tummy bug this weekend and this morning when I had a desire for a cup of coffee I knew I had returned to the land of the living. I was inspired by the Sunday Sip and Share over at the Coffee Lovers Hop (plus the added benefit of the Valentine's Day theme). And my second card was inspired by the CAS(E) this sketch challenge, thinking of ~amy~'s challenge to have more birthday cards in her stash.
