May Arts Christmas Hop

Welcome to the May Arts Christmas blog hop, the ribbonistas are helping you get inspired for the holidays.  You should've come from Virginia's blog, if you get lost along the way feel free to pop back to May Arts.  I've decided to make a tag, because if I was organizd I'd have a whole stash of these ready for any occasions (I'm not that organized, but I can always dream right?).

Here's the final tag, and I wrapped the present in brown packaging paper and used May Arts White Sheer with Diagonal Stripes ribbon to wrap the package.  But let's back up a few steps and I'll show you how easy this to put together in a few steps.

Start by gathering a few supplies (see below for complete list).  Die cut out the tag and double sided banner and ink the tag with the Hero Arts newspaper print background stamp.

Next up, ink up the Hero Arts/Basic Gray Poinsettia & Berries flower, heat emboss with white embossing powder and then add distress inks.  Spritz with perfect pearls and cut out.

Assemble tag, adding flower, double sided banner and SRM sentiment, plus a few rhinestones.  Cut a 6 inch piece of the May Arts sheer ribbon and then tie a bow around ribbon with May Arts natural burlap string.  And you're done!

Next up on the hop is Jenifer, go check out her blog Scapbooking-N-More to see what she's created.  And of course there are prizes, comment along the hop all this week for your chance to win fabulous May Arts ribbon.  I'm also adding this to the Ribbon Carousel holiday challenge, b/c you know me and challenges...

And... because I love May Arts ribbon, I've also got another fun project up on the MA blog today, check out my cool snowman and a few other Christmas projects.

Materials: May Arts sheer diagonal ribbon, May Arts burlap string, Hero Arts newspaper print background stamp, Hero Arts/Basic Gray Berries and Poinsettia, SRM sticker, PTI Tag It Sale and double sided banner die, PTI kraft card stock, Tim Holtz distress inks festive berries, fired brick and gathered twigs, Stampendous white embossing powder, Recollections black rhinestones, Perfect pearls

  6. What a gorgeous way to dress up a brown paper package. It is so elegant and I love the color of kraft anyway in cards but never imagined it as a wrapping paper too. You really inspired me with your tags and wraps.

  7. Love your choice of ribbon for your bow and the use of kraft paper. We recently moved and I recycled the kraft paper that my art work was wrapped in for our Christmas presents. I used the May Arts red and white chevron ribbon for the bows.

  12. Very nice tag. I think it would have been good to layer the banner on some red cardstock, for more "pop" in the message.
