TGIF, I was going to post this card yesterday and I got totally side tracked with this amazing giveaway I'm working on for my work blog and then I taught a card making class, so the day is all a bit of a blur. I've used the Artful Delight sketch, since I know how fabulous the kits are, figured better play along now that I'm not on the DT anymore... maybe I'll win one? Rose has convinced me I'm must play along with the new Seize the Birthday challenge. I must say, dear blog friends, that my heart just aches to read about the tragedy in Connecticut today. We officially enrolled our youngest son in kindergarten today, which should be a joyous occasion (he's going to be homeschooled next semester, since he's technically too young for kindergarten, but at least with some help from the homeschool teacher we'll be able to give him some school work, since he wants to be like his big brother and do school). So, so, sad to think of those families that were effected today. And just a head's up the May Arts blog has some fun coming up next week... I've got a fun project lined up for Monday :)
What a beautiful card!

ReplyDeleteSo sad about the tragedy!! As parents we just want to keep our children safe, no one thinks sending our kids to school each day would pose any danger. I will certainly be thinking about that each day I take my children to school. :-(
Such a pretty card..love the embossing and that velvet ribbon....I can't begin to imagine what the families are going through...it makes me so very sad.
ReplyDeleteWonderful texture and love the way the part of the sentiment goes down the side! So pretty.
