So well know I love to drink coffee, and like my friend ~amy~ have an unhealthy supply of coffee stamps.... and we also know I like to make tags and play along with card challenges. This week I've had limited time to play in my crafty room (hello busy season at the motel) and I've got a few pieces of projects I've played with and don't love, so this morning I decided to take some of the discarded pieces and make a coffee tag-- b/c really that's just my happy place. The tag uses some of the elements of this week's PTI Make It Monday (who knew the chalks would get use again after being ignored for so long). I stamped the Hero Arts newspaper print background onto the PTI tag and then embossed it with the PTI circle cover plate, added chalk and the coffee stamp to the corner. I love the texture it gives the tag. Of course I tied the tag with several types of May Arts ribbon (printed canvas, sheer with stitched edge and burlap string). I used the PTI hexagon coverplate as a stencil and added some embossing paste to the bag and spritzed the whole thing with white mist. My project loosely follows the CAS(E) this sketch. Finally, this project uses a bag of some locally roasted coffee beans by my friend Holly's company, Carolines Coffee. Happy Saturday, I'm off to the Nevada City Soapbox Derby soon, wish us luck.
Yay!!! Love it! Awesome tag and texture! Super fun! Good luck today!
