happy mother's day

Happy Mother's Day!  The top card I made for a friend to give to her mother, love the collage/water color feel to the card.  The pieces include: PTI sentiment, Lawn Fawn die cut, PTI leaves die, My Favorite Things tag die, May Arts silk ribbon and burlap string, doily from work, PTI vellum, SRM sticker, patterned paper from stash, water colors.  The bottom project I made for my mom, mostly PTI goodies, but I dry embossed the SRM glassine bag with a Stampin Up/Sizzix embossing folder, May Arts ribbon and a Lawn Fawn sentiment die.  I added a mini flat card inside, now all I need to do is write on it before I see my mom later today.  And did you know that this month is my card blog's 5th birthday.  Amazing to think of the amount of time, projects, crafty friends, money spent on card making supplies, classes and a whole lot of crafty fun that has happened over the last 5 years.  Perhaps I'll work on a virtual party post... or if not, I'm just acknowledging that I'm having fun and that's really the point, right?
