kite card and a few more

Today's bounty of cards... crafting grounds me, brings me joy in the bits and pieces and gives me a very awesome sense of completion.  My cards are for a variety of challenges, the first one for CASology.  The second card for one of the April Mojo Monday sketches.  My third card is for the current Mix it Up SugarPea Designs challenge.  And my 4th card is for the Hero Arts Stay Crafty Challenge.

thanks

Sometimes I make cards as one of those things I can feel accomplished by-- you know when your to dos are long, your house is a mess and the laundry never seems to get put away.... so I make a card and feel accomplished.  I don't actually love either of these cards, but I'm getting much better at accepting that--and get this, MAILING them.  The first card is another take on the Mojo Monday sketch (all the pieces were floating around my desk) and the card below is a take on the MFT sketch, it's hard to tell in this photo but I used the heart die 6 times on the card to give the pattern of the sketch.  I'll try to share a photo later, but I'm super excited to share that for my monthly card class last night I managed to get my boys to join and they made, wrote and FINISHED all of their school Valentine's Day card, a full week in advance, this is amazing.

life is what...

Happy Tuesday crafty peeps!  It's a winter wonderland outside my door... can't wait till I can see all the snow covered trees.  In the mean time, I'm playing in my craft rom.  The first card is for the Inky Paws challenge (shout out to ~amy~ or this nudge).  My second card is for the Mojo Monday sketch, there's a theme going here....

You're on my mind

I couldn't resist... thanks Julee for bringing back Mojo Monday sketch challenge.  I love that you create these sketches that stretch my CAS brain.  I combined a coffee sticker I found in my stash (while looking for something Halloween themed) with a Verve sentiment and Verve sun die cut.  The other dies are MFT and the burlap ribbon is from May Arts ribbon.

You are simply amazing

The final Mojo Monday sketch.....  I totally understand trying to do too much... so Julee I applaud recognizing your limits and focusing on what's important.   I have room for improvement and thinking I can get everything done...  speaking of which, teaching a card class tonight and I made the card above for the sketch, but I got lazy and decided we're going to do the CAS version below.

Mixing it up a bit with a busier then normal thank you card, using the Mojo Monday sketch as my inspiration.

Cards and more cards

Not sure what happened to me in the last week, I made some cards but never got around to sharing them... I shared a fun card with the Coffee Lovers blog, but forgot to mention it here... who knows...  Made a card for the MFT sketch and missed the deadline.  My guess-- it must almost be summer and my world gets a little busy with the motel and campground?  That's my excuse and I'm sticking to it.  In the mean time the first card is for the Sugar Pea sketch.  The second card is for the Mojo Monday sketch.  The third card was for the MFT sketch.  And the final card is for the Reverse Confetti sketch.

Adventure fun....

Happy Tuesday crafty peeps.  I tried to get my normal Monday PTI Make It Monday agenda yesterday, but I had a big work project that took up that window and before I knew it the day was over...  So my first card uses the Watercolor Wash background idea...  I stamped a bunch of different PTI sentiments on this piece of craft card stock and then used watercolors over it.  I kinda like the more vibrant look of Laurie's projects, something else to try.  My card also uses a MFT die, PTI tree die, Flora and Fauna caravan die... can you spy the sentiment I accidentally did upside down?

Playing along again with the CAS(E) this sketch challenge.

And the Mojo Monday sketch, truthfully this card isn't my favorite, but I'm always intrigued on how to add all the pieces for the sketch while staying true to my CAS style-- so it's a good challenge.

happy place

Happy Monday...  two cards, both channeling my inner campground owner creative agenda.  The first card was inspired by the Mojo Monday sketch, seriously these sketches challenge me (which I believe is the point).  I've used MFT wonky dies, PTI trees and circle die, Hero Arts tent stamp, PTI camping paper and kraft card stock and PTI traveler journal sentiment, and distress oxide ink for the background.  I might try this again without the patterned paper...  The second project is for this week's PTI Make It Monday, using ink refilers, water color paper and stencils.  I only have one color... but I like the background it created.  This project is almost all PTI goodies, with the exception of the Hero Arts mountains and May Arts ribbon (and I think it's a circle die from somewhere else).

Happy Birthday, Monday style

Happy Monday!  Today's PTI Create with Us challenge got my inspired with this card by Dawn.  And my second card is inspired by the Mojo Monday sketch.  I'm off to go tackle my to dos...  it's spring break this week and I'm actually going to take a couple of days off.  Woo hoo!

sending smiles

This Mojo Monday sketch scared me, too many pieces... so I decided to face my fears...  inspired by our friends who are here visiting from New Zealand about to set off on a 6 month road trip around the US (they bought a red truck, not a van, but....).  And I had some cool NZ postage stamps floating around my craft room, so die cut out a rectangle to give it a bit more personalization.  The van and sentiment are from Hero Arts.  The directions are from an upcycled wedding invitations.  The patterned paper is from PTI, washi tape, twine and MFT wonky dies.

love & thanks, plus more....

Happy Monday crafty friends... playing along with a number of challenges, you'll see I sorted mixed and matched a few of the same elements.  The first card is for the MFT color challenge.  The second card is for the Mojo Monday sketch and the final projects are for the PTI Make It Monday, heart masking technique challenge.  I used the PTI scribbles stamps for my masking technique... I might do that idea again.  Hope everyone has a great Monday, no holiday is my work world....

Happy Birthday and holiday tag

Happy Monday!  Playing along with the Mojo Monday sketch, these sketches scare me-- b/c I really do like CAS cards, but I find the to be good exercises.  And the tag below is for the PTI Create With Us challenge, I used Lizzie's card as my inspiration.

hello pumpkin spice latte

Happy Friday!  I was inspired by the new Mojo Monday sketch (below), but after creating the card, it was all way too busy for my normal CAS self, so I made the top card with some of the pieces I cut out while trying to figure out the puzzle of various elements.  Personally I like the top card best...
