Today I had a bonus morning off from work and while blog surfing I stumbled across this lovely post from Cosmo Cricket. I decided to take to heart the idea of making a list and checking it off (next step is to follow her advice and have the kids do it too!), so I managed to get a number of projects done this morning and as a reward I went to Ben Franklin by myself and bought a mini deck of Circa 1934. For $6 in bribery I managed to clean the house, put away 4 loads of laundry, do some yard clean up, put dinner in the slow cooker, write a work blog post and pay some bills.
Now back to the card. I stamped the Mat Stack 4 Collection frame on a PTI coaster yesterday and left it sitting on my desk for the right occasion (good luck finding it below). Keryn's doing a giveaway on her Facebook page to challenge people to finish a project, so I figured that was a good motivator. And while I'm showing my messy desk, let's join in the fun over at Julia's Stamping Ground "What's On Your Workdesk." The card uses this week's sketch from Skipping Stones. And I've used a SRM sticker for their "Big Boy" challenge.
Materials: PTI Mat Stack 4 Collection Frame, PTI All Booked Up boy with tree stamp, PTI Mat Stack 4 die, EK Success 1 3/4th inch circle punch, Fiskars tag punch, Twinery cappuccino twine, SRM Life is good sticker, PTI Kraft card stock, Cosmo Cricket Circa 1934 patterned paper, VersaMagic Jumbo Java ink, black sharpie, K Co brown buttons, Paper Phine paper twine, PTI coaster

I really love this, Erin! Isn't it amazing how we can bribe ourselves with simple pleasures!!! :) Thank you, Cosmo Cricket!
Ahh, I see buttons. And some form of stitching (is it real?) on this manly goodness of a card. Thanks for your comments over on the May Arts blog, please let me know when and where I can return the favor!
Hi Erin...I love your mix of patterns on your card! The overall look is so balanced and awesome!
Great card! I loved seeing your "messy desk." I've got one, too. :)

very nice card. Great work space. Your desk really doesn't look all that messy to me. Thanks for sharing. Vickie #78
Funny, I read the same post at Cosmo Cricket! I started doing something similar a few weeks ago. Big list on the fridge and I have to check something off before I can go to the craft room to play. My house is definitely tidier these days and I don't feel so guilty about craft room time!
Beautiful card - thanks for sharing it on WOYWW!

Your card looks beautiful. It's simple but that gives it's charm. I love the stamp in the middle most.

Lovely card, love how you've interpreted the sketch. Your desk looks great to me - it's harmless - once you pick up a few papers, it's clean and tidy...not too hard core at all! I tried to find the coaster but am not really sure what I'm looking for!!
