Mom & Dad cards

This week's Moxie Fab World Tuesday Trigger really inspired and challenged me.  Literal girl over here was having a hard time giving up on the fact that even though I'd love to have the PTI Friendship jar set, I don't have it... and when I looked for more kitchen related items I got farther and farther away from my inspiration.  There are some great takes on the challenge and while hopping around I was amazed by some of the talent.  In the end I went for the clothespin idea and the colors.  The PTI Notebook die is a piece of recycled Paper Source Letterpress stationery, it's been sitting on my messy desk waiting patiently for an occasion.

And since one train of thought was a Mom card, why not make a Dad card too?  This one uses the CR84FN colors.  I've sanded another piece of cardstock for Yvonne's Do More with Less challenge and this random piece of cardstock from my stash has a bit of sparkle to it and when I sanded it it turned a bit black, fabulous!!!  I've used a Versamark background of the Hero Arts Clear Design Hello Circles for their month long masculine card challenge.

Materials: 1st card: PTI Tiny Tags die and tag and sentiment stamps, PTI Daily Designs, PTI Notebook die, Paper Phine paper twine, Paper Source letterpress stationery, Studio G orange ink, VersaMagic Night sky ink, Versafine black ink

2nd card: Studio G Dad stamp, Hero Arts Clear Design Hello Circles, PTI kraft card stock, brown card stock from my stash, Bazzil green card stock, PTI natural fibers, Spellbinders Nestabilities Label 4, Tim Holtz Embossing folder, sandpaper, Versafine black ink, Versamark

Oh my goodness! What a great idea to make a masculine card from the challenge colors! I have to say that masculine cards are not first "go to" creation. But yours rocks! Your other card is fabulous! Thanks so much for playing along with CR84FN! Wonderful job with the challenge colors!

These are fantastic, Erin! Your mom card is really darling. I love those tags hanging at different levels and the dad one is just as great. I love the subtle woodgrain on the label behind the sentiment! P.S. I love your new photo. You look like Ashley Judd!
