Gift Bag Tutorial

Hello, if you're looking for my 365 Cards Super Sketchy Sunday card click here.  Because I marvel at all the fabulous May Arts goodies by my blogging pals, I've decided to throw my hat in for their DT, at the very last possible minute...  gotta love that.  I decided that I wanted to spruce up a gift bag, so I started with a kraft bag I'd gotten at a shop downtown.

Bag before it's makeover

I cut 18 inches of the May Arts Baby Shower Striped Grosgrain ribbon.

I tied both ends in a knot 3 inches from the end.

I cut a small hole right above the knot and added a denimn brad.

I punched a hole in the bag to add the new and improved straps.

Then I added some Tattered Angels black mist and added some die cuts to complete the look.

Love the way my recycled bag looks after its make over!

Materials: May Arts Ribbon Baby Shower grosgrain stripped, Pink Paislee Indigo Blue brads, American Crafts card stock, PTI kraft card stock, Tattered Angels chipboard buterfly, PTI Limitless Layers 2 1/2 inch die, Spellbinders Nestabilities, Tattered Angels black mist, recycled kraft bag

Love how you upcycled that cute bag--and made it even cuter in the process! Those are some great-looking handles. Love this!
