Happy Day

Happy Day indeed!  I'm playing along with this week's Waltzingmouse Sketch Challenge, having fun with their Playful Pinwheels.  It's a little hard to see but I embossed a rectangle Spellbinders die, then masked it and used Tim Holtz distress ink and added a vellum circle for the second layer.  A CAS girl's gotta think out the box when trying not to use too many layers.  I've got some fun news in the local front coming up-- I'm going to be teaching a card making class at our local Ben Franklin.  I've just finished my cards and will be sharing them on the blog soon.  Anyone want to come join me?  Wednesday, September 5th will be the first class, 6pm.

Materials: Waltzingmouse Stamps Playful Pinwheels, Pebbles patterned paper, Simon Says Stamps happy day die, Fiskars 1 3/4th inch circle punch, Spellbinders rectangle die, Tim Holtz distress ink tumbled glass, May Arts ribbon,  My Mind's Eye brad, Stampendous black embossing powder, PTI rustic white card stock

I just love those letters to pieces, Erin! And good luck teaching your class! How fun! I was invited to teach at the Vocational Technical College my Dad taught at, before he retired, but I thought that it would be more work and time away from family than the money was worth. Let us know how it goes! Hugs!
