Card Recognition

happy happy everything

Do you ever sit down to make a card, stamp something, leave it and then come back revisit it and realize that even though you've left it to marinate over night it's still not working?  I tried to make a one layer card for the August Cloud9 blog hop..  really not sure on this card, but I'm going to add it to the hop anyway....  I made some other cards the other day with this same 'Lil Inker embossing folder, too much fun.  Hope all's well...  here are some fun pictures of my kiddos at the county fair.

Materials: WPlus9 Woodgrain Silhouettes, PTI Fillable Frames sentiment, 'Lil Inker embossing frame, Tim Holtz distress ink festive berries, shabby shutters, antique linen, Versafine black ink, cream card stock

Loved your fb post reading PaperCrafts...are you on your way somewhere? :)

I know what you mean about not feeling right about a card. I love the deep red.

Erin! What an awesome use of the Lil Inkers frame with these beautiful flowers. I love how you stamped the sentiment directly onto the card front (rather than a banner). :) Thanks so much for joining us at Cloud9!

This is a cool CAS take on the sketch challenge, and the red flowers just pop off the card.

I think your card is lovely! I love the red flowers and the way you used the sentiment for the upper part of the sketch! But I do know what you mean about cards not working...I have a basket of them on my desk that need "something" or to be completely re-worked...I call them my "NoMojo" cards!

That happens to me all the time! I'm trying to tell myself that I should post the bad along with the good so I can learn from my mistakes and maybe one day I'll look back at something and realize what's missing or how I can make it better. I really like this. One layer cards are really hard to do.
