Happy Thursday... a sucker for all things coffee-- and a total team player for fun challenges, I'm hoping along (again) for the Coffee Lovers Blog Hop, inspired by another one of the Ellen Hutson 12 Tags of Christmas with a Feminine Twist. Sharon's tag uses a technique called the "Copic Drip Background" and while I don't own any copics and don't have any ink refills, I do have a tiny sample of gesso (who knows what motivated me to buy it, probably some other challenge), but this was a perfect opportunity to pull it out and see what sort of mess I could make. The only ink refill I have is classic kraft (so while pink would've been fun, I didn't have any), but I love the marbel look of the background. The tag took a bit longer to dry then I thought, so impatient girl over here who likes to make and finish things in 15 minutes, might have to paint up some tags in advance? In Sharon's tag she added some gesso to some corrugated card stock and I had some packaging material somewhere, but couldn't find it, so I found a piece of red card stock and added the gesso to it and then cut it out with the My Favorite Things coffee die cut. I bought the Die-namics Tags (after Ms. ~amy~ did some enabling on the MFT coffee release, blame her) and I'm loving that several challenges have inspired me to think bigger tags. The wreaths are PTI (thanks Denise for letting me use your purchase before you picked it up) and I've added May Arts silk and chervron twill to the top. Happy hoping... stay dry if you're in Northern California. Below are the list of prizes... come play along!
