pink coffee card and happy birthday card

Do you have those days where you blink and 12 hours have gone by?  Hello, that was my day today.  All those things on my to do list?  Some got done, but most didn't.  Anyhoo, above is my card for the Verve Diva Dare to use pink (I went with a stylish Verve coffee stamp on Authentique paper with a bit of May Arts ribbon).  I forget to use my stash of paper....  And below is my CAS card for the CAS(E) this sketch, to be honest I started it with the past Runway Inspired colors, but the project got lost in my desk and I only got back to it this morning, oops.

this girl runs on coffee

So I often craft in the early early hours of the day, and perhaps my obsession with coffee crafting items is that more often then not I've got a cup of coffee with me.  So I saw ~amy~'s card this morning and knew I had use my new Verve goodies.  I'm using the Viva La Verve Sketch and some patterned for Virginia's View.  But, funny, I didn't have any coffee while making this card :)  But my day was definitely fueled by coffee.  And my decorated coffee bag below is for the CASE Study Challenge, I up cycled a piece of letterpress for the coffee cup, added some May Arts ribbon to the tag, Lawn Fawn sentiment and wrapped the bag of Fable Coffee with some May Arts burlap.  And now… I'm tired.

take care, feel better soon

A girlfriend asked me to send her mom a get well card and this morning I was prompted by Claire's "you have seconds left to enter our Flower Show challenge" (for a prompt, punctual person, I love a last minute challenge).  So I CASEd Kimberly Crawford's card, and since I didn't have enough time to sort out a fabulous paper flower, I went digging through my May Arts stash and found these fun ribbon flowers, and managed to pull out 3 different WMS stamp sets (guys, I miss your weekly challenges, my poor stamps are not getting enough love).  Then I added a piece of Glitz woodgrain paper and presto, back to my regular scheduled morning agenda (must get out the door).  And why not throw in one more CASE Study Challenge DT search entry...

Mom

If you're looking for my May Arts/UmWow post click here.

So today's bonus card comes from a couple of sources of inspiration.  PTI's Make It Monday challenges you to break out your re-inkers and a straw... well we have lots of straws in our house, but I realized I only have one re-inker (Tim Holtz distress antique linen), so I somehow got on a texty train of thought, I don't know... go with me on this one.  CASE Study is having a DT call and they've asked you to CASE someone you're inspired by, so I went looking for inspiration on Cristina's blog and found the project below. While I wouldn't say this card is "out of my comfort" zone, per CASE Study's suggestion, I love it anyway...  because as a mom who's likely to be reading a book and spilling my coffee, it's totally perfect!  Yesterday I got a chance to speed through a local craft fair, click here for some photos.

Materials: PTI Rosie Posie and Rosie Posie Additions, PTI letter and tag dies, May Arts burlap twine, Tim Holtz distress stain re-inker, Authentique and Basic Grey papers, Coredinations yellow card stock

well done

"Well done!" is what I'd like to say to everyone involved in my world who helps with Halloween.  To get an idea of the enthusiasm our little town has click here for a link to my work blog post or click here to see the Inn's Facebook page (currently having a trivia on who many pieces of candy we gave away).  But the reality is that this card is for a card commission, so I've used the CASE Study card be Angeline as my source of inspiration.  I've used WPlus9 Woodgrain Silhouettes, a SRM sticker, white embossing powder and some Coredinations card stock and presto!  Right, back to cleaning up the mess....

Happy Birthday CASE Study Challenge

Playing along with the CASE Study Challenge crew this week, loved the look of Julia's card with the corrugated paper, so when I bothered to tidy up the mess from the PTI packaging I knew I had to use it in a card.  Felt flowers would've been fun...  but don't have any green felt, so I used some Faber Castelle gelatos and added a bit of a green hue to the PTI In Bloom flower.  Wishing everyone a fabulous Saturday.

Materials: PTI In Bloom Flower, SRM Sticker, May Arts ribbon, Bazzill basic green card stock, Artful Delight kit paper, vellum, Tim Holtz white picket fence stain, Faber Castelle gelatos green, PTI white card stock, bling from stack

you're in my thoughts

This week's CASE Study had a beautiful CAS card by Laura and I immediately thought of Maile's PTI Gracious Vases set.  Lawnscaping's latest challenge is to find inspiration somewhere, so this is a great card for that challenge, since I've done a pretty close CASE of Laura's card.  And I used a Hero Arts sentiment so I could finally play along with their March Fabulous Flowers challenge.

And for those curious on my gift bag/box updates, thank you for all your morale support on my various posts.  I am happy to report that I'm done :)  With some crafty help, I managed to sit down and do the last 17 bags (the correct answer to my question), and in the end we made a few extra and ended up with a total of 82 bags/boxes and 100 tags to go on them.  What a mission....

Materials: PTI Gracious Vases, Hero Arts Live and Laugh, Cosmo Cricket Odds and Ends patterned paper, PTI kraft ink, Versafine black ink, Versacolor inks, Hero Arts shadow inks, Tim Holtz distress stain antique linen, PTI cream card stock
