hello triangle tag

Hello..  I'm squeezing in a last minute project for this week's Play Date Cafe challenge.  I'm also going to play along with the Moxie Fab World trendy triangles challenge.  I've used PTI tag it and hello die, PTI sketched shales triangles, Hero Arts neon ink, Versafine black ink and May Arts sheer ruffle and silk ribbons.  I'm off to eat ice cream, all month at work we just keep saying "It's July," and I have earned my ice cream :)

hello

hello...  do you have those week's where you blink and wonder what you've done with yourself?  My family ditched me to go camping (I had to work), and I spent surprisingly little time in my craft room?  What's wrong with me?  I also cleaned my desk, please, send help, something must be seriously wrong over here!  Anyhoo... today's card... an attempt at the Play Date Cafe colors..  I like the first one better, but the second one is me playing with Dreamweaver stencils and dying May Arts silk to match.  The first card has a piece of the stencil below the vellum on the hello, but also May Arts silk (dyed with distress ink) and May Arts chevron twill ribbon.  Wishing you all a fabulous day.

Friday Cards, congrats times 4

Grab a cup of coffee, I finally got the time to finish up a card order that's been on the to do list, so I've got a few cards to share.

The first one uses this week's Play Date Cafe colors, some fun Lawn Fawn paper and background stamp, LYB paper, Paper Smooches sentiment and some May Arts twisted burlap.

Next up I've got a card inspired by this week's MUSE Challenge.  I've used some gelatos, PTI tag and sentiment and some May Arts faux canvas ribbon.

This card (which I think is my favorite of the 4), is for this week's PTI Make It Monday (embossed colored vellum flowers).  I've used the PTI In Bloom flower and Thing Big sentiment, Cuttlebug embossing folder, doily and 3 different May Arts ribbons (satin pleats, leaves and faux canvas).

And this final card uses the Retro Sketches and Unity stamps for the Friends With Flair.   I've used some May Arts twine and LYB paper.  I also used some fun SRM stickers (sentiment and faux stitching), which I think works well for the Let's Get Trendy Now "stitching" challenge.  If you've made it this far, CONGRATS!  That's the theme for today's post.

way to go

way to go...  a cute fun little tag today, I used this week's Play Date Cafe colors and since I used a Paper Smooches sentiment I'll add it to their Paper Smooches SPARKS anything goes challenge..  Can I tell you how much I love using May Arts ribbon?  I think I may have an addiction problem....    And did you see Moxie Fab World's gift tag challenge???

And because I sometimes share photos on this blog that cross over to my "other world", here's a fun one I took yesterday... who's booking their summer vacation at the Outside Inn?

Materials: Paper Smooches sentiment, Freshly Squeezed man and woman stamp, Unity bit of burlap background, May Arts chevron twill, silk and rouched ruffle, PTI tag, Stampendous black embossing powder, Versafine black ink

black and white with a splash card

I'm sneaking in in the last hour for this week's Play Date Cafe challenge.  I knew I had the perfect May Arts ribbon for the splash of coral (see this post), I just didn't know what I wanted to do...  so sometimes the non-occasion cards are perfect, no sentiment, no obvious direction...  Did you know May Arts makes twine too?  I recently got a whole bunch of it, so excited to have twine in every color.

happy birthday love

Happy Birthday love.... I was inspired by the Play Date Cafe colors and the CAS-ual Fridays color blocking challenge.  I'm not sure if my use of washi tape is Moxie Fab enough for their Card Creations challenge.  Been trying to post this all day, and that silly day job keeps getting in the way!  Happy Monday everyone.

Materials: SRM Sticker Sentiment, WPlus9 die, card stock scraps, washi tape, PTI white and black card stock

bookmark, book card and faux letterpress

Greetings... I've got a book themed project today, I started off being inspired by the Play Date Cafe colors.  I added some of the new May Arts denim ribbon (the bookmark uses the 5/8th inch and the card uses the 1 1/2 inch ribbon).

And I've got a fun project up on the May Arts blog today about faux letterpress.

thanks so much pillow box

This week's PTI Make It Monday challenge is to make a pinwheel, which after watching the video I realized is really rather simple (love learning new ideas).  So I took this week's Play Date Cafe colors and decorated a pillow box with Graphic 45 paper and some new May Arts denim ribbon.  I used the Lil Inker square stitched mats for the die, which is great because you get a little extra detail on the edges.

And I am beyond excited to share the news.... I'm now a May Arts Prima Ribbonista!  The Ribbon Lady has made some changes to the May Arts DT and I'm tickled beyond belief to say that I get to continue to work with May Arts and their amazing ribbon.  Now, the fabulous Ribbon Lady loves giveaways, so click here to leave some love on the blog and click here to leave some love on their Facebook page.

Materials: Graphic 45 Paper, PTI Tiny Tags, Lil Inker Square Stitched Mats, May Arts natural burlap string (kraft and pink), May Arts denim ribbon, button from stash, Versafine black ink

Happy Birthday

Good morning... if you're looking for my 365 Cards post click here, so here I am crafting in some early hour (again)...  Today's PTI anniversary celebration is to use one of Nichole's sketches.  I've used sketch #1, PTI Gracias Vases and the Framed Out #12, plus Edgers #1 die.  I wanted to play along with this week's Play Date Cafe, so I added some May Arts Woven Velvet.  Just Us Girls is having a masking challenge this week and I've masked the tiny little vases in the middle.  Wishing everyone a fabulous Sunday... there's a Mardi Gras parade in our town today and I'm trying to figure out how I take pictures of the parade and man the office at the same time, anyone know how to clone me?

Morning ladies...  I've got a CAS card with this week's Play Date Cafe color (although I'm now realizing I should've gone for more green).  Off and running, have a fabulous day.

sending smiles across the miles

I love color challenges because they push me in new directions... this week's Play Date Cafe colors did not speak to me, I tried this... I tried that... I have a variety of pieces buried in my messy desk... and after a number of failed attemps I decided to play with the Unity trailer I used yesterday and some washi tape..  still not sure what I think of the road's pot holes... but oh well.  Simon Say Stamp Challenge is having a washi tape challenge and I've got some trendy tapes on both of these cards.   Next up I had an extra mini card on the desk (remember I never put anything away, so the pieces just wait for their calling) and I decided to make an itty bitty card for the Moxie Fab World challenge.  After I colored the top of the WMS Frame It cupcakes I added some glossy accents, so it's got a nice bit of texture to it.

And when looking through the messy desk for something to help you get the scale of the card, I pulled out my trusty iphone (for those of you who like the cover I made it on Shutterfly with a photo I'd taken for work).  Now all my card needs is a cupcake to go with it...  anyone want to help me out with that problem?

And come back tomorrow, the May Arts DT is having a blog hop!

heartfelt thanks

Squeezing in an extra card today, I've been trying to find inspiration with the Play Date Cafe colors over the holiday and was having a hard time... so I went simple and decided to channel mostly white. I don't think this one will win my favorite of the year, but I'm sure I could put it to use, if I could be bothered to sit down and write my remaining holiday thank you cards....  Simon Says Challenge is having an anything goes, seriously LOVE this die.

a note of thanks gift cards

Thank you card set... if you're looking for my May Arts Christmas hop post click here.

So my poor little blog is overrun with goodies... but that's what happens when you're a total procrastinator who likes instant gratification.  So today's project was a last minute throw together for a tangable gift for my mother-in-law (who I bought a gift certificate for).  So I made 5 one layer thank you cards, and then wrapped them in a plaste sleeve, packaged up with May Arts ribbon and then added a Mat Stack one die with some fun papers from Echo Park Very Merry Christmas for this week's Make It Monday challenge.  My cards also use this week's Play Date Cafe colors, hence the double posting in one day, gotta get it linked before the deadline.  And I even made it to the post office before they closed, so this project is en route!!!  And I forgot to link this up to my fabulous friends over at A Passion for Papertrey, can't forget those gals, since this is a PTI-centric post, happy holidays!

Coffee cards

Hello, ready for a cup of coffee?  If you're looking for my May Arts Christmas blog hop, click here.  The hop continues today with these talented ladies:

But today I've got some coffee cards to share...  Working on a card order, she wanted two of this card (and since that card already had someone's name on it (shhh... I'm not telling), I made the following cards.

And then I made this card (as CASE of the card I got from ~amy~ in the mail) for a friend.  I added some scored lines for the current CAS-ual Fridays challenge.  (I also scored around the first card thinking of the challenge).  Can you spy my upcycled take out holder?

And this gift card holder was for my pal the other week, she's putting it in her husband's stocking.

And my last gift card holder uses this week's Play Date Cafe colors.
