TGIF... I was inspired by the WPlus9 Monday Mood Board, love how challenges get me to think outside my box (I'm not sure I'd put these three colors together on my own). And the Cloud9 Hop is finishing off their year with an anything goes challenge. I'm excited that I made the first round of the new May Arts DT, woo hoo! I've used some faux canvas and wrinkled silk on this card. Hope you all have a great weekend, lots going on in our little town this weekend.....

friends like you... cloud9 hop
So today's card is for the Cloud 9 Blog hop, love the water color background and stunning bouquet. My Wplus9 stamp is actually on the inside of the card, and I used the fabulous sentiment "Friends like you are very few, I'm so glad I found you." I loved the color of the background that I thought it would be fun to leave the PTI All Booked Up image black and white (with a bit of a glitter pen to give it a sparkle). Simple... I love simple.

Banana bread and love note
Does inspiration ever hit you and you just have to run with it? Or perhaps I'm just using that as my procrastination excuse? It's a beautiful day and I've spent the morning putzing away... (Click here for my first post this morning). I haven't played along with the Moxie Fab World Tuesday Trigger in awhile and I decided that the heart and the blue and the wood chair were just too fun to pass up. I used the PTI Modern Wood Mats and Daily Designs heart, wrapped up with May Arts Organic Cotton Stripes and embossed some wax paper with Tim Holtz woodgrain embossing folder. PTI's anniversary challenge today was to make a "wrap, tag or gift packaging" project, so, hence the gift of homemade bread (which my children would like to eat immediately). My wrap wasn't inspired by a pin- just the Tuesday Trigger, but I think that works for the challenge.
And my other project is a love note... Cloud9 is having their bog hop and I started off by being inspired by the mini kraft bag. Now if only I could get my boys to sit down and finish their Valentine's Day cards.... perhaps I'll bribe them with warm banana bread?

tree and snowflake tags
Ellen Hutson's Classroom is having a fun 12 tags of Christmas challenge at the moment. Today's tag was inspired by Teri's Day #6 tag. While she used twine to make her trees I decided to channel my May Arts goodies, and somehow managed to use 4 different May Arts ribbons on one tiny tag, be proud! Instead of wrapping the entire card stock in twine, I opted for some recycled corrugated cardboard and wrapped it in MA Curly Sparkly Ribbon (doesn't it look like Christmas lights?). While I guess my tag isn't very girly, I like the kraft and white and silver look. It's a nice break from red and green...
And since I was making tags, here's another one for the Cloud9 Blog Hop, with more fun May Arts ribbon.
May Arts Ribbons: Curly Sparkling ribbon, Velvet Ric Rac, Natural Burlap String and Satin Snowflakes Cut Outs, Hero Arts Magic of Christmas snowflake, Tim Holtz Distress ink tumbled glass, white card stock, glitter pen, glossy accents, PTI Tag It Sale, PTI Kraft card stock, recycled cardboard
Second tag: WPlus9 defining defitions and sentiment die, PTI Tag It Sale die, red glitter foam, May Arts velvet, sheer ribbon and curly sparking ribbons, Versafine black ink, PTI white card stock

happy happy everything
Do you ever sit down to make a card, stamp something, leave it and then come back revisit it and realize that even though you've left it to marinate over night it's still not working? I tried to make a one layer card for the August Cloud9 blog hop.. really not sure on this card, but I'm going to add it to the hop anyway.... I made some other cards the other day with this same 'Lil Inker embossing folder, too much fun. Hope all's well... here are some fun pictures of my kiddos at the county fair.
Materials: WPlus9 Woodgrain Silhouettes, PTI Fillable Frames sentiment, 'Lil Inker embossing frame, Tim Holtz distress ink festive berries, shabby shutters, antique linen, Versafine black ink, cream card stock

Happy Birthday Cloud9
There's a new blog hop for WPlus9 fans called Cloud 9, and one not to miss the p-a-r-t-y, I'm jumping on board with this birthday card (which if you look closely has yesterday's date on it, so happy birthday to the blog hop). I took inspiration from the background, heat embossed it with the Hero Arts background cling then added some distress inks. I used the PTI notebook die on acetate and then added the fun WPlus9 Spring Post stamp and put the sentiment on the inside of the card with the postmarks date. Perhaps I should send this to my sister-in-law who's birthday was yesterday and I forgot to call/write/email... slacker. Since I've stamped this card I'm going to enter it in the Moxie Fab World "Stamp It" birthday card challenge. And thanks ~amy~ for reminding me that since I use acetate that this is perfect for the Paper Issues "I can see clearly" challenge". Happy Tuesday friends, there's still a little time in my birthday giveaway post, click here.
