Graduation cards

I've made three graduation cards and the funny thing is that I don't know anyone graduating!  (Edited to say since I wrote this up I've sold one of these cards and received a graduation announcement from my husband's cousin's son, so these cards were well timed after all!).  These cards are for this week's CAS-ual Fridays "Graduation" theme.  I used the Waltzingmouse Sketch Challenge as a jumping off point.

And this last card was partially inspired by Amber's card, b/c I thought "wait, I do have that impression plate" and then I was Etsy surfing for the Wee Memories Etsy Inspired/Pineterest challenge and spent some time drooling over some fabulous letterpress cards and ended on this one and decided to use the technique from my last post and ink up the impression plate.

Materials: First Card: SRM sticker, Waltzingmouse Stamps Very Vintage Labels 4, Hero Arts Write Your Own cling, Cosmo Cricket Circa 1934 paper, Spellbinders Nestabilities Label 4, Fiskars rotary scallop cutter, PTI kraft card stock, Paper Phine twine, Tim Hotlz Distress Ink Aged Mahogany and Antique Linen, Versafine black ink

Second Card: SRM sticker, Waltzingmouse Stamps Very Vintage Labels 1, Hero Arts Write Your Own cling, Cosmo Cricket Circa 1934 paper, Spellbinders Nestabilities Label 1, Fiskars rotary scallop cutter, PTI kraft card stock, Paper Phine twine, Tim Hotlz Distress Ink Antique Linen, Faded Jeans, Aged Mahogany, Versafine black ink, Versacolor brown ink

Third Card: PTI By The Number Impression plate, Waltzingmouse Stamps Very Vintage Label 4, PTI Mat Stack 2 sentiment, Charcoal Twinery twine, black card stock, Versafine black ink, Spellbinders Nestabilities Label 4

All three of these are fabulous, Erin! So glad you found a use for them. I had an unexpected grad announcement sneak up on me this year, too. Wish I'd had a stash of grad cards ready and waiting like you did!

OMG Erin! I love love love that you used my card as a jumping off point and came up with something completely and wonderfully different! I love letterpress and you've inspired me with the way you achieved the letterpress look without all that fancy dancy equipment!

Have a great night!

I love all of these, Erin, but the letterpress-style card at the end really takes the cake. I love the elegance of the black and white.
