Do More With Less Guest Blogger Challenge

A note of thanks...  I'm super excited to be Yvonne's Do More With Less Guest Blogger this month.  As a challenge junkie (who has used the Play Date Cafe colors on this card) I love trying new techniques and styles and Yvonne has some fabulous folks spotlighted on her blog, so what a privilege for me to be included.  The technique I've decided to do is "faux letter press", or the act of inking up your impression plate or embossing folder.  The card above uses the PTI Impression plate "Book Print", but the technique works just as well with embossing folders.   Below are some photos of the card, but the tips for this technique are pretty simple:

1. Get out an impression plate or embossing folder.
2. Ink up the plate or folder and sandwich as you would in your die cut system.
3. Let paper dry, wipe plate or folder clean with baby wipe (or rise with warm water and soap if need be).
4. Use faux letter press paper in some fabulous crafty project.

And since I love RAK I'm happy to say that the prize for this challenge is the PTI In Bloom Impression plate, one that I've put to use on a number of cards.  For examples of other cards I've made using this technique click here, here, here, here, here, here, here or here.  The deadline for the Do More With Less Challenge is Friday, October 21st at 11:59pm (GMT +8).  I can't wait to see what you create.

Materials: PTI All Booked Up, Mat Stack 4 sentiment and frame, Mat Stack 3 die, PTI Book Print Impression plate, Versafine black ink, Tim Holtz Distress Stain Antique Linen, water color pencils, Core'dinations card stock
