couch and rocket ship cards

Hello!  So, being the compulsive blog challenge lover that I am, I a) didn't want to miss out on the latst PTI Anniversary challenge, b) thought the colors reminded me of Runway Inspired Challenge and c) wanted to make a card for Sebastian, b/c I love the spirit of the blogging community and wanted to jump on board.  I'm embossing vellum with Shabby Shutters, so it's got the rustic feel of the Pinterest board that Ashley used and added a long neglected Mint Motif stamp to the couch to give it the same pattern as the Runway Inspired top.  On the inside I used the fabulous On My Couch Additions that says "hoping you're fully re-covered soon".  And since the embossing works well for the Moxie Fab World Cool Tools challenge I'm going to sneak it in before the deadline.

Next up I put Ben to work on a card for Sebastian too.  He used "his" Watlzingmouse Stamps Half Pint Heroes and the current WMS sketch challenge.  (Please note that Ben likes coments about his projects, I'll be asked a dozen times in the next day if anyone commented on his card, so please leave the boy some comment love).

And if you've made it this far I'm super excited to say that I won the new release of stamps over at My Thoughts Exactly, so that blog candy I was talking about with my clean out is coming SOON!  And if you're still reading... I'm hosting a photo contest on my work blog, trying to drum up as many votes as possible, so feel free to click here and vote for your favorite picture.

Materials: PTI On the Couch, Practicing Creativity the Whole Cycle "rug", Mint Motif stamp, Tim Holtz woodgrain embossing folder, Tim Holtz distress ink shabby shutters, PTI kraft and cream card stock, vellum

Ben's card: WMS Half Pint Hereos, May Arts Ribbon, Spellbinders scallop circle die, Hero Arts kid red ink, PTI card stock

Go Ben! Woohoo! Your card is magnificent! You are such a talented crafter and at your age too. I think it was a cool idea to place the rocket ship and the saying across the ribbon. I also think the three stars are wonderful there too. Sebastian will think this is the best card ever!

How sweet of both of you to make cards for Sebastian! Ben, I love that you used the rocket ship and stars. This is the first stamp set I thought of to make a card for Sebastian, and I'm sure he's going to love yours!
Erin, I just love how beautifully you've combined the challenges for your card. The subtle pattern on the couch is lovely, and of course I swoon over the woodgrain!
