First up I inked up the Hero Arts Newspaper Print in Tim Holtz Distress Ink Vintage photo ink, then die cut it out with PTI Mat Stack 4 and 1 3/4th inch circle.
Once I had my frames I die cut out some PTI Warm Happiness Too cups in PTI Pure Poppy card stock and inked up the coffee mug stamp.
Next I waned to use the wired burlap as a background texture. I measured out an inch and a half of the ribbon, cut it to size and then, b/c I can't sew to save my life, used scotch tape to adhere it to the back of my frame.
I cut a piece of PTI kraft to 4 inch by 5 inch and embossed with the PTI linen impression plate. I used Tim Holtz distress ink antique linen and inked all the edges and then cut the May Arts woven burlap in both red and kraft fit over the card stock. Once again I pulled out the trusty scotch tape and adhered the ribbon to the back of the card stock.
And there we go, three fun coffee themed cards with some fabulous May Arts burlap ribbon.
But I was having so much fun with the goodies, I couldn't stop.... so I decided to decorate a pound of some local coffee from Carolines Coffee Roasters. I used all the same elements, but added the fabulous Verve Stamps "Better with You" sentiment and coffee rings and added a Jillibean Soup felt flower. The burlap texture is so perfect for coffee themed projects. Plus the "love at first sip" is perfect for the Moxie Fab World "Stamp It" love challenge and the Simon Says Stamp Challenge "tag" challenge, great for the coffee label and the gift tag below.
So, then I had to wrap it all up, so I used a basket, wrapped with May Arts Natural Burlap Stripped ribbon and added a tag. And guess what, since it's my birthday today, I'm going to give away the whole basket of goodies. Post a comment on this blog post and I'll draw a winner next Wednesday, July 11th (basket not included, sorry I borrowed it from work).
