Card Recognition

a note of thanks

Happy Superbowl Sunday.  I will say that while I am not a fan of anything related to football, my husband is a huge Denver Broncos fan.  So while I'm working most of the day, I am going to the local crafting store after work to buy something with their Superbowl Sunday coupon (love that they know their target market so well).  So, right, back to today's card.  So I am teaching a Valentine's Day card class this week and should be working on those projects, but this morning I took a number of scraps from my messy desk and made this card (which has no purpose, and defies all the email chats with other crafty pals about flat cards).  I was using this week's PTI Make It Monday window screen card as my source of inspiration, and I love the look I've seen with people with twine or string behind a bloom to give it another layer, so I added some May Arts burlap cord.  In addition I've used some patterned paper, PTI circle cover plate, PTI Doodlie-Do bloom and the coordinating die with DCWV cork paper, and the PTI Happy Trails sentiment.  Enjoy your day-- watching football, crafting, or doing laundry like me :)

Erin, there will be a lot of us at craft stores today! This is so full of yummy texture, you have to enter it in the Card Concept challenge too! Their challenge this week is 'texture'. The cork and the bg paper is just perfect!
