just call me bag lady, part 2

Welcome to just call me bag lady, part 2.  No one got the exact total left to make right on yesterday's post... so I'll open it up on this post... keep guessing, a few of you were close..  Today's post have the skier theme... if you need pinecone ideas click the other post.

I haven't used much patterend paper on the bags, but since the wedding colors are yellow and gray, I thought it'd be fun to throw in some Authentique paper and play along with their March sketch challenge.

Next up I have two entries for the new Lawnscaping Challenge, which is find inspiration, I found inspiration from the latest issue of Real Simple (see the fun chevron purse on the left).  Then over the breakfast table this morning Mr. Ben found inspiration from the box of Cheerios and wanted to play along.  I got Dan to demostrate the multi-loop bow for him so he could enter Emily's guest challenge on Do More with Less.

And 2 more bags to share, I think they would work for the CAS-ual Friday challenge "a pattern, an image and a sentiment".

Since I'm not done with the bags, I may have another post to share...  or perhaps I'll move on to something else...  I still like Lynn's idea that there should be vote for favorites.

Letterpress Cards

Hello.  So the fabulous ~amy~ tempted me with her unused Lifestyle Crafts Letterpress and I couldn't say no.  I've done a lot of fun things with the faux letterpress technique (click here for a tutorial I did for Do More With Less)... but girls... I'm in trouble-- the real letterpress technique makes me giddy.  This card is for the Moxie Fab World "Winter Blues" challenge.

Some friends just had a baby boy-- so why not send them a non-blue card?  I used this week's CR84FN colors.  I've done a loose take on the Authentique sketch and I'm just sneaking in this with a tiny bit of time to spare.

And this my friends would be the DH's card for our friends' new baby.  I'm sharing this for Emily who often talks about her husband's crafting and I've told mine that he should make me a card from time to time and he always declines.  Well, my new tool had him intrigued.  I have a feeling you'll be seeing more of my new letterpress...

Happy Birthday Jen

Hip, hip, horray, it's my blogging pal Jen's birthday!!!  I've teamed up with the talented Karen to have a Carbon Copied birthday cheer for Jen.  We've decided to use PTI In Bloom and the current Authentique  paper sketch challenge.  It's hard to tell in this photo, but I've embossed the vellum with the In Bloom impression plate, so it give it a fun hidden element over the Authentique paper.  Go check out what Karen's created and then leave the birthday girl some love.

Materials: PTI In Bloom, PTI In Bloom impression plate, Spellbinders Nestabilities Label 4, Authentique Blissful patterned paper, vellum, PTI white card stock, Making Memories silver eyelets, Versafine black ink, water color pencils, Tattered Angels black mister, water color pencils, Recollections rhinestone, May Arts ribbon

I love CAS cards and I wanted to play along with the Authentique color challenge, deadline being today, so I pulled out some full patterned paper (to be able to play with the fabulous gals at Wee Memories "Patterened Paper" challenge) and added a fun little tag from Monika's I Love It All shop.
