21 Bookmarks

Many of you know that I'm in the midst of organizing a big huge move and yes, I'm still crafting. This morning I motivated my son to make 20 bookmarks for his classmates at school, because today is his last day of school. I made the one on the top for his teacher and he made the ones on the bottom for his classmates. He only started school in July, but even in the short 10 weeks that he's been at school he has learned so much. I wanted his teacher to know that she's done a fabulous job of helping build a solid foundation for his reading.

And since I'm about to go through major withdrawl for all these fabulous fun crafty challenges, let's enter this lovely bookmark in the Stampin Royalty "anything but a card" challenge and the Moxie Fab World paper crafts gift challenge. I gave the teacher this card and the bookmark, so I'm actually giving this one (this is a reference to this bookmark which I'm keeping). Ben's bookmark's work well for this month's Children's Challenge Corner to make a bookmark.

Now, I'm getting back to the non-crafting fun... groan.

back to school

I was inspired by Emily's super cute apple/thank you card this morning, and had one that looked a lot like hers, but then decided to branch out a bit and use the Card Patterns sketch again. There are a lot of fun Back to School challenges on at the moment, so please check out ABC Design Blog, Stampin Royalty and Kah-Wink-E-Dink Digi Stamps.

Materials: Stampin Up apple stamp, Treehouse Stamps digital sentiment, Stampin Up red and kiwi bliss designer paper, Stampin Up red and Kiwi bliss card stock, Fiskars punch tag, Making Memories eyelet, green twine, Stampin Up square scallop punch, Stampin Up black ink, black card stock

Black, white, green thank you

Trying to figure out how to photograph this one, here's a different take on the same card.

I saw LeAnne's post with the Stamping 411 sketch and was inspired to make this card. I know it's a bit of a loose take on the sketch, but when inspiration hits you might as well run with it right? I used the Play Date Cafe colors again and made a thank you card for Mark's Finest Papers Speedy Cat challenge. Stampin Royalty is having a KISS challenge (Keep it Simple Sweetie) and this card is right up my CAS alley. I paper pierced the stamps onto vellum and glued them on top, so I'll enter this in the ABC Design Blog challenge.

Materials: Stamping up stamps, Hero Arts sentiment, Brilliance Moonshine white ink, black card stock, American Crafts green ribbon, corner rounder, Versacolor bamboo ink, vellum, Stampin Up black ink

Father's Day Card

A super quick card (b/c I should be doing a whole list of other things) for a couple of challenges. The color challenge is from W Plus 9's Color Cue, bonus points for using my W Plus 9 stamps (the woodgrain and the sentiment). The bicycle is yet another one for Moxie Fab World's I Want to Ride My Bicycle challenge. And the Father's Day theme is for Cas-tastic Wednesday Father's Day Challenge.

A few extra Father's Day themed challenges this week (thanks Deb's Paper, Ink, Scissors & Stamps blog) include, Creative Craft Challenges, Fab 'n Funky Challenges, My Time to Craft Challenge, Stampin Royalty, The Town Scrapper, Kah-Wink-E-Dink Digi Stamps.

Materials: W Plus 9 woodgrain and sentiment, mystery bike stamp (no information on stamp what so ever), teal ink, orange ink, black ink, brown card stock, kiwi bliss card stock, vellum, deckle edge on Fiskar cutter
