I made this card for this week's Waltzingmouse Sketch Challenge and I'm excited that I got to use a WMS sentiment too- thanks for my lovely blogging friend Giesle for sharing some of her stamped goodies with me. Sentimental Sundays is having a challenge to use ribbon (or lace which I don't have any of) with a sentiment card, so here's a card for that challenge. Jenny's Wee Memories challenge this week is buttons/brads/bling and I've got 2 black brads on here, so here's another card for her challenge. Fab 'n Funky is having a "flower power" week and I love that this card has just a small touch of purple flowers, it's not the main theme, but it certainly adds to the card. Which reminds me that Tiffany Doodles is doing flowers all month long, I'm sure those lovely ladies are sick of me by now. And Mark's Finest Papers Speedy Cat challenge this week is also flowers. Wow, I'm not sure I've entered one card is so many challenges before?I made a comment on my Congrats cards yesterday that I used some paper from my stash that I got given when my first son was born. I'd like to comment that today's card uses some patterned paper that my mother gave me when my second son was born. She put up 6 sheets of black and white 12 x 12 sheets above his change table to give him that newborn B&W stimulation. He's now 2 1/2 years old, so I'm happy to report that I'm using up more fun paper that was given for the birth of a child.
