Valerie to do Today

I'm breaking out of my box today for my 365 Cards Super Sketchy project, I've decorated a notebook for my friend Valerie.  Perhaps she'll work on her list of things to do... today!  My notebook is made up mostly of Basic Grey Hipster papers and stitckers, with a bit of washi tape, Echo Park paper and a piece of May Arts ribbon.

(Edited to say, that this was my last project for 365 Cards, I wish Pam and the rest of the crew the best... it's been a fun ride).

be yourself

Welcome to another 365 Cards Super Sketchy Sunday.  I got given the entire box of Hero Arts teaching materials from my Ben Franklin to prep for my class next week and so I got to play with more of the new Stamp Your Story goodies (sad I will have to return the box on Wednesday!).  And look, for once, a card without ribbon!  But, for those of you May Arts fans, there's still time to come play with my 1000th post giveaway.

always & forever

Welcome to another 365 Cards Super Sketchy Sunday.  I've made a yellow and kraft wedding card for some friends who's recent marriage I got to celebrate last night (they eloped, but opted to have a party a couple of month later).  I used some Paper Issues goodies, UmWow Chipboard, May Arts burlap string and some SRM Stickers.  To see what the rest of the DT has created go check out their blogs.

For this week's 365 Cards Super Sketchy Sunday we're sponsored by SRM Stickers, and I used not only some stickers, but a fun glassine bag (embossed with woodgrain).  I found my color inspiration and inspiration from this week's WPlus9 Mood Board.  Can you count how many different types of May Arts ribbon I used in this project?

hello

So this card might look a little similar to the other week's 365 Cards and that's because this was trial run of the topo map and it's been sitting on my desk... waiting for a purpose.  Well, hello... why not turn it into a fun card...  The river in the wood camera is actually this photo, just in a mini size :)  Bring on summer... let's get out and play!  To see how this week's sketch inspired the rest of the 365 Cards DT go check out their blogs and leave them some love,

First Class Mail

I love all things postal, and really should use my postage themed stamps more often...  I used a scrap from last Sunday's map card for the bottom scallop, a Hero Arts background and PTI Postmarked stampes, wraped up with May Arts burlap string.  So it's another 365 Cards Super Sketchy Sunday, we're sponsored this week by The Cutting Cafe.  Go check out the rest of the DT and see how the sketch has inspired them.

follow your dreams

It's another 365 Cards Super Sketchy Sunday and I've gotta tell you that I'm in love with this card!!!!  Summer must be coming if I'm thinking about hitting the road in our vintage camping trailer and getting out into Mother Nature?  I wanted some sort of map for the card and after looking through stacks of my patterned paper I asked my husband if we had a map I could use and he pointed me in the direction for the topo map of our area (with clear instructions that I was not allowed to cut it up).  So I scanned it and then printed it on kraft card stock, and b/c the map had been folded, I love that you can still see the crease in the scaned version.  So if any of you want to come camping, that body of water in the map is about 30 minutes from our house.

Time to go check out the rest of the fabulous DT and see what direction this sketch sent them on....

love at first sip

Greetings friends, it's time for another 365 Cards Super Sketchy Sunday and this week we're sponsored by Bugaboo Digi Stamps.  I've used the cocoa image, with a little help with the Verve "Better With You" sentiment and coffee rings and Hero Arts newsprint background and Studio Calico wood veneer arrows.  I printed the image onto Authentique paper and then colored the center with water color pencils and added some glossy accents to the heart.    I love coffee cards...  to see what the rest of the DT gals have created go check out their blogs.  One winner this week at 365 Cards will win 7 free digis images.

smile and sympathy cards

Welcome to another 365 Cards Super Sketchy Sunday.  This week our sponsor is Sara Smeby, who's a Stampin Up rep and has offered up a $20 gift certificate to one lucky player this week.  She sent everyone on the DT a bunch of goodies to play with, so I've put together today's card (I added the Lil Inker heart, sentiment sticker and doily).  I don't usually make cards without some stamping, so it was fun to get out of my comfort zone a bit.  To see what the rest of the DT have created go check out their blogs, WendiRoseJenny, Annie and Janice.

And since I had a doily out I thought I'd play along with the WMS Blog Party, so missing the sketch challenges, I've been going through WMS withdrawl.  I've used the new May Arts Houndstooth ribbon, WMS Frame It sentiment, Simon Says Stamps die, Tim Holtz woodgrain embossing folder and a doily.  The flowers were die cut out of a scrap piece of paper that I'd stamped PTI Rosie Posie on and then didn't use, kinda like the pattern.  This card is for my friend who recently lost her cat...  :(

a note of thanks

Welcome to another 365 Cards Super Sketchy Sunday.  I was playing along with the PTI In Bloom impression plate (for a project for the May Arts blog later in the month) and this panel was a mistake-- I forgot to put in embossing mat, so it just lightly inked the paper instead of embossing it.  I added some butterflies, the bottom ones are embossed and the top ones are vellum, it adds a cool effect when you look at them closely.  Other goodies on the card are the PTI Happy Trails sentiment and May Arts woven velvet ribbon (be proud girls, the non-pink girl in me really likes this ribbon).   A Passion for Papertrey is having a thank you challenge, just barely squeaking in with enough time.
