Today's bounty of cards... crafting grounds me, brings me joy in the bits and pieces and gives me a very awesome sense of completion.  My cards are for a variety of challenges, the first one for CASology.  The second card for one of the April Mojo Monday sketches.  My third card is for the current Mix it Up SugarPea Designs challenge.  And my 4th card is for the Hero Arts Stay Crafty Challenge.

the best thing to hold onto...

The best thing to hold onto in life is each other.  Thank you Karen for this super fabulous sentiment from a set deep deep in the archives of my craft stash from The Craft's Meow.  Hero Arts challenge was to ink something that had never seen ink and the flower is from a set from 2009 that I have used other parts of, but doubtful that I've used the flower (I could be wrong, but it's been hiding in the deep dark corners of my not so small stash.).  My second card is for the current Altenew Inspirational Challenge.  My monthly card making class would be this coming week... so this sentiment rings so true for that amazing group of ladies.  I have a whole bunch of other cards to share, but I'll put them in another post or check out my Instagram feed.

holiday tags

Happy Sunday crafty friends.... I've got a couple more tags to play along with Tracey's 25 Tags of Christmas fun.  The top tag is inspired by her tag on Day #13, but I used some Hero Arts goodies to play along with their holiday challenge and I will edit this post (hopefully) later today when I assemble the other 4 tags I prepped for the PTI Make It Monday challenge (but ran out of time to finish before work).

Inspired by Jill's tag on Day #11, using a Technique Tuesday mug, Hero Arts sentiment, PTI tag and MFT circle die.

Inspired by Tracey's Tag on Day #9 (I have a moose stamp somewhere...), so I used the Avery Elle trailer, Altenew sentiment, PTI mountains and die tag and some washi tape with MFT dies.

Hello...  I've been making a few tags in the spare moments I've had to be crafty to play along with Tracey's 25 Days of Christmas Tags.  The first tag was inspired by Tracey's tag on Day #1.

Happy Wednesday crafty peeps!  MFT new sketch is up and I finally found the Get Toasty stamps I got the other week (and then promptly misplaced, b/c a helper bee was working on creating a little more order in my life).  For those of you who missed the little detail that we just built and opened a campground-- I "need" all camping/s'mores crafting sets... feel free to send me your suggestions.  Yesterday I roped my friend Lenka into helping me with some photos at the campground and we started with photographing the new flavors of marshmallows (click here for a preview), can I tell you that the Pumpkin Spice Latte marshmallow is a-m-a-z-i-n-g (and I don't even drink pumpkin spice lattes!).   So I need to send this card to Lenka as a thanks....  And below... there's a new Hero Arts challenge-- holiday cards.  Is anyone at all surprised that I made coffee themed holiday cards?

Happy Monday.  Time for another PTI Make It Monday Challenge, this week Betsy is challenging us to use an ombre background with stencils, great video.  I used all PTI stamps/dies and aded some May Arts ribbon to the tag.  Hard to see the glossy accent and glitter pen on the flower, but they're there.  My second tag is for the Hero Arts flower challenge, loved digging through my stash and finding this HA bloom (and sentiment).

So I was totally intrigued by Jennifer McGuire's recent post about Distress Lifting and decided to give it a try with a vintage Hero Arts sunflower stamp and a new HA sentiment, plus it worked well for the Hero Arts flower contest.

Holidays cards!!!  Well, it's all ~amy~'s fault... you know that girl is an amazing enabler?  Well now that she's on the Hero Arts DT I am confident that I'll end up with more of their goodies... so why not play along with their new challenge, "Holiday cards."  I used a Hero Arts background stamp and sentiment, a Flourishes flower.  Some May Arts ribbon, PTI printed vellum (you can't see the stripes), Spellbinders dies, white picket distress stain, distress inks, gold embossing powder...  Wishing everyone a fabulous Tuesday.

Cheers, it's my sister-in-law's birthday today and she just might like wine...  I'm a little "late" to the PTI Make It Monday challenge (stamping with neutrals) this week, but for a good reason as I spent last week in Alaska.  Highlights included taking the train from Anchorage to Seward, hiking to Exit Glacier, taking a scenic boat ride out to see more glaciers and getting an opportunity to see whales.  And my card works for the Hero Arts challenge-- my only die cut is the tag, but the background stamp is stamped with the Hero Arts chevron stamp and ombre ink (background-birthday-die cut).

tags

I love making tags.  Here are a few that I started within the last week and finally managed to finish tonight.  The top one uses the Hero Arts background stamp (embossed in gold), so I could play along with the HA Tag challenge and Virginia's View "All Things Metallic".

This tag uses the Fusion Challenge inspiration photo.  I added the Hero Arts flower in vellum, Lawn Fawn tag die and stamp, PTI happy die cut and SRM sticker, plus some water colours.

And finally I wanted to use a snowman...  I've got the Lawn Fawn snowman, PTI tag and banner die, MFT snow die cuts and May Arts ribbons.  I added some embossing folder and some embossing paste (and some cream snowflakes you can barely see) to the background.  Addicted to CAS is having a tag challenge.

Happy Mother's Day to all my crafty peeps.  

thank you tag using the technique's in Dawn's watercolor stamping video, I have a little work to do, but I'm happy with this cute little tag.  Since I like making tags I often create staged gifts (which thoroughly confuses my children who want to know what's in the box), but I'm happy to report for today's project I actually put my mom's mother day gift in the box!  (Guess I'll have to find another prop or ask her for the box back).  I stamped with Wplus9 flowers and added a PTI gracious vases to the tag (which has a bit of sparkle b/c my brush still had metallic water color on it from yesterday's project).  I tied the tag onto the box with May Arts silk and wrapped the box in May Arts white sheer ribbon with tinsel edge.

And one final card, using the Hero Arts sketch challenge and using stencils and water colors for the Iron Craft Challenge.  I used the PTI hexagon cover plate as a stencil and then white embossing paste.   I used the Hero Arts Antique Flower and PTI Building Blocks sentiment and May Arts silk ribbon.

You know when you're looking for inspiration and your children have taken over the computer to watch Mine Craft You Tube videos?  That happen to anyone else?  So scrolling through my iphone I stumbled upon the Hero Arts sketch challenge for my source of inspiration this morning, you know me and tags... and went for my favorite color combo of kraft and red.  But what I love about the challenges is that I then went hunting for Hero Arts flowers (b/c I have many, but they get lost in the mess)...  The Hero Art flower (which I couldn't tell you which one) is embossed in white on PTI Pure Poppy, die cut with the Tag Favorite die and then I used the PTI Hello sentiment embossed in gold over vellum and added a Studio Calico wood heart and a few gold sequins (which just happened to be floating around my desk).  I embossed the kraft card stock with a woodgrain embossing folder and then misted the panel with white and gold and added a little distress stain to the side.  And no tag on my card blog is complete without multiple pieces of May Arts ribbon :)  Happy Saturday everyone, best to feed those Mine Craft students some breakfast.

Welcome to another 365 Cards Super Sketchy Sunday.  I got given the entire box of Hero Arts teaching materials from my Ben Franklin to prep for my class next week and so I got to play with more of the new Stamp Your Story goodies (sad I will have to return the box on Wednesday!).  And look, for once, a card without ribbon!  But, for those of you May Arts fans, there's still time to come play with my 1000th post giveaway.

Stamp Your Story Tags

TGIF friends... I made these tags the other week because I'm going to be teaching a class next week (Wednesday, June 5th from 6:00-7:30pm) at my local Ben Franklin focusing on the new Hero Arts Stamp Your Story goodies.  We're going to make tags, cards and some fun mini journaling pages.  Hero Arts is having a great challenge to use their new line, so I'm going to enter these tags in their challenge.  Plus, there are a few more days left in the Moxie Fab World tag challenge.  And lastly, if you missed my big 1000th blog post, click here, I've got a May Arts ribbon challenge for you with an awesome prize.  

Valentine's Day wine tag and card

Yesterday I made this Valentine's Day bag and this morning I decided to make a wine tag to match.  I used the PTI Make It Monday "Diecut Double Up" and I also used the Hero Arts Feb sketch.  I'm going to use both of these goodies in a fun Valentine's Day giveaway on my work blog (next on the to do list, check back later).

And this CAS Valentine's Day card was loosely based on the current Artful Delight sketch (just ignore the sentiment and you're good to go).  There's a new CAS challenge "CAS On Sunday" and their first theme is "Be My Valentine."

And Mr. Ben is playing along with the sketch as well... "Thanks for everything and the TV", oh dear....   At least he has good taste in ribbon?  And speaking of ribbon, the May Arts Valentine's Day hop has begun, go visit the blog to see the hops along the way (my official project is coming later in the week).
