Good morning... if you're looking for my 365 Cards post click here, so here I am crafting in some early hour (again)...  Today's PTI anniversary celebration is to use one of Nichole's sketches.  I've used sketch #1, PTI Gracias Vases and the Framed Out #12, plus Edgers #1 die.  I wanted to play along with this week's Play Date Cafe, so I added some May Arts Woven Velvet.  Just Us Girls is having a masking challenge this week and I've masked the tiny little vases in the middle.  Wishing everyone a fabulous Sunday... there's a Mardi Gras parade in our town today and I'm trying to figure out how I take pictures of the parade and man the office at the same time, anyone know how to clone me?

Java Joy

Yawn..... here's a fun coffee card this morning.  I'm playing along with the Just Us Girls (JUGS) sketch challenge.  I was up late at a cooking class last night, click here for photos.  Need my coffee... yawn (but off to the gym).

Happy Tuesday blog pals... I've got a few projects to share here today.  

First up-- can't miss out on the Waltzingmouse Sketch challenge party, it's their 100th sketch, I'm happy to report that I've been playing along since the FIRST sketch, click here to see that card.  I've missed a few over the last 2 years, but my track record is pretty good, thanks guys for continuing to inspire me week after week.

Virginia is hosting her own challenge and I used the rainbow colors as my accent on this wine label, but I thought the sentiment was fitting for her challenge-- you go girlfriend!

And lastly here's a card I made for the Just Us Girls sketch.  And I'm super excited to say that tomorrow is my first post on the Artful Delight design team and not only do I have a little p-a-r-t-y to celebrate (think wine, surprise, surprise), but I've got a giveaway, so come back tomorrow and bring your wine glasses.

Shaker Coffee Gift Card Holder

I'd never made a shaker card, but this week's Make It Monday technique video showed me that really it's totally doable.  (Okay I'll admit that since this was my first attempt, that I do have a bit of glitter leaking out of my frame, so I've got room for improvement on this design).  So I decided to combine the shaker challenge with the Just Us Girls template challenge (Valentine's theme).  Thanks to Kristina's Two Peas gift card template (which I used here and here) I added some Smooch spitz and presto-- a fabulous gift card holder.  And while the video uses fun foam, I didn't have any, so I just die cut out extra layers of the mat stack out of the cereal box, worked perfectly.

Red Cowboy Boot thinking of you

I think this cowboy stamp is a lot of fun, so I was extra motivated to get a card organized for the two cowboy themes things week (Pile It On is "A Little Bit of Country, A Little Bit of Rock 'n Roll" and Just Us Girls Challenge is a "Wild, Wild West" theme). Jenny's Wee Memories challenge this week is brads, buttons and bling (or one of the three) and being the CAS girl that I am went for the simple two red brad option.

Materials: Patterned paper from my stash (sorry, never can remember where it's from after I chop it to pieces), Paper Source Cowboy boot, Hero Arts sentiment, Versacolor red ink, Stampin Up black ink, red brads

Pink flower- JUGS sketch

Another pink and black card using the Waltzingmouse Big Blooms stamps. (It looks a lot like this one). But this time I used the Just Us Girls sketch. I used my small Paper Source circle punch for the velum on the top left and it was an accident that the flowers weren't centered. I figured that was what it was meant to be and left it. I pulled out this Thanks sentiment the other day and have used it in several cards lately, love how I can unearth something that's been hidden away for awhile and get a lot of good use out of it. I also love that I bought it at a garage sale for some small token payment! (It's a 1999 Stampin Up stamp in case anyone wants to know).

Apron Card

So many challenges...It all started with Just Us Girls template challenge. I've never made an apron card before, so I thought now seemed like a good time? Simon Says Stamp Challenge is celebrating friends. KAH-Wink-E-Dink is having a free for all challenge. Just Add Ink is celebrating patterned paper, and my oh my is this collection of Cosmo Cricket paper fun! (Although I've just read their fine print and realized they don't like cards that are in more then 3 challenges, so oh well... I still like the card, this can be a bonus- just for viewing entry). Bunny Zoe's is celebrating "nice and girly" and for a non-pink kinda girl, I'd say this is about as nice and girly as I'll get.

Congrats on your new home

I'm not sure why I'm posting this card, b/c I'm not really that much of a fan. But I keep trying these color challenges and sometimes they surprise. And I'm also learning that something that I don't really like might be just the right card for someone else. So, I guess I'm posting this card b/c someone else might think it's perfect. I've used this week's Color Throwdown colors and used a freebie digital sentiment from Sentimental Sundays, which makes it work for Just Us Girls digital challenge.
