happy new year tag
A super quick post, as normal, I'm procrastinating over here... I've made a little tag for the new PTI Make It Monday Challenge, embossed vellum. I have to admit that I emboss velum a fair bit-- both dry and heat. I love that if you want to stamp on vellum and not have it smear, embossing is your key. For this tag I've heat embossed the PTI flower and then used distress stain, I think the great tip I learned for this technique is right after you've inked your image, use a wet wipe to remove the ink from the embossed parts of the image, that way the white stays nice and crisp. For those of you who missed my winter wonderland photos, click here.
Supplies: PTI In Bloom, PTI Tiny Tags sentiment, PTI Tag It Sale Die, Simon Says Stamp hexagon die, Lawn Fawn leaves die, May Arts sheer with tinsel edge, silk and metallic velvet ribbons, sequins from Maria, Stampendous white& black embossing powder, vellum, red card stock, Cuttlebug swiss dots embossing folder, Tim Holtz distress ink fired brick
