Lawn Fawn Cards for Kids Blog Hop

I am so excited to be a part of this fabulous blog hop supporting Cards for Kids. I've made a few cards already, but thank you Kelly Marie for helping motivate me to make a few more! The hope is to encourage you to also make cards for this great cause and have fun along the way, too! So please hop along with us, and make sure to leave comments as there will be prizes for commenters and participants! So let's get going! Also, if you are lost in the hop, you can always start at the beginning at the Lawn Fawn blog. Thank you so much for hopping along with us today!

You should've come from Gretchen's site, http://gscrapbooks.blogspot.com and the next stop is Laurie, www.soapboxcreations.blogspot.com.

Here are the two cards I made for the hop. I wanted to make something bright and cheery to help brighten those very special children's lives.

The second card uses the Taylored Expressions sketch challenge. The first card uses some faux stitching so I'll enter it in this week's Corrosive Challenge blog.

Thanks for checking out my cards, enjoy the hop! Prizes, prizes... you have till Thursday 10 EDT (for those of you on that side of the date line) to comment on the blogs to be in the draw for one of 10 sets of Lawn Fawn stamps or a number of other surprise goodies.

Materials: First card: Hero Arts snail, Lawn Fawn sentiment, fun patterned paper from my stash, bic marker for faux stitching, Stampin Up black ink, yellow, orange card stock from Spotlight, Stampin Up red card stock

Second card: Stampendous Elephant stamp, Lawn Fawn sentiment, Fiskars circle punch, card stock scraps, Stampin Up black ink

Can You Touch the Moon #4

This is my fourth card using the Pals Paper Arts colors for Jennifer McQuire's Cards for Kids. I'll enter it in Mark's Finest Papers Speedy Cat challenge because I used the circle punch.

Materials: Paper Source rocket ship stamp, Stampin Up black ink, Stampin Up circle punch, Stampin Up Chocolate Chip card stock, yellow and grey card stock from stash, sentiment written with Chalkduster font on Word

Can You Touch the Moon #3

This is my third card using the Pals Paper Arts colors for Jennifer McQuire's Cards for Kids.

Materials: Paper Source rocket ship stamp, Stampin Up Black ink, Stampin Up Circle Punch (to remove the corners), Stampin Up chocolate chip card stock, yellow and grey card stock from stash, sentiment written with Chalkduster font on Word and cut into pieces

Can You Touch the Moon #2

This is the second card I made, using the Pals Paper Arts color for Jennifer McGuire's Cards for Kids. I had originally thought I'd orientate it like the photo on top, but when I took the photo I turned it, I think it works well either way.

Materials: Paper Source rocket ship stamp, Stampin Up Black ink, Stampin Up chocolate chip card stock, yellow and grey card stock from stash, sentiment written with Chalkduster font on Word and cut into pieces, Fiskars rotary scallop cutter

Can You Touch the Moon #1

I have been meaning to make some cards for Jennifer McGuire's Cards for Kids for months. I first found her website when I was surfing card websites and I thought it was a great project (not to mention some amazing prizes). My motivation to make some cards was partly motivated by the Pals Paper Arts color challenge (I thought they would be good boy colors) and the recent blog update by my friend Liz, who's daughter is currently having chemo for retinoblastoma. So I finally sat down and made 5 cards. I'll send one to Anya and the other four to Jennifer's Cards for Kids. Of course being me, I didn't make 5 of the same cards- why would I do something that simple? Mark's Finest Papers Speedy Cat challenge this week is to use punches, and I made some comment on their blog about helping boost their numbers. So, here's another entry.

Materials: Paper Source rocket ship stamp, Stampin Up Black ink, Stampin Up Circle Punch, Stampin Up chocolate chip card stock, yellow and grey card stock from stash, sentiment written with Chalkduster font on Word and cut into pieces
