birthday owls

I used this week's ColourQ colors, with the Taylored Expression sketch and a photo of three owls from this week's Etsy Inspired challenge. Do you think this would work for a kid's birthday card? I like the idea of balloons... so let's enter this in Party Time Tuesday, child's birthday card challenge. KAH-Wink-E-Dink challenge this week is birthdays, happy birthday guys! Wee Memories is doing "In the Forest" this week, so break out your squirrel, owl, frog stamps.

Materials: Studio G owl stamp, PTI birthday sentiment, card stock from my stash, Stampin Up black ink, Fiskars rotary scallop cutter

Lawn Fawn Cards for Kids Blog Hop

I am so excited to be a part of this fabulous blog hop supporting Cards for Kids. I've made a few cards already, but thank you Kelly Marie for helping motivate me to make a few more! The hope is to encourage you to also make cards for this great cause and have fun along the way, too! So please hop along with us, and make sure to leave comments as there will be prizes for commenters and participants! So let's get going! Also, if you are lost in the hop, you can always start at the beginning at the Lawn Fawn blog. Thank you so much for hopping along with us today!

You should've come from Gretchen's site, http://gscrapbooks.blogspot.com and the next stop is Laurie, www.soapboxcreations.blogspot.com.

Here are the two cards I made for the hop. I wanted to make something bright and cheery to help brighten those very special children's lives.

The second card uses the Taylored Expressions sketch challenge. The first card uses some faux stitching so I'll enter it in this week's Corrosive Challenge blog.

Thanks for checking out my cards, enjoy the hop! Prizes, prizes... you have till Thursday 10 EDT (for those of you on that side of the date line) to comment on the blogs to be in the draw for one of 10 sets of Lawn Fawn stamps or a number of other surprise goodies.

Materials: First card: Hero Arts snail, Lawn Fawn sentiment, fun patterned paper from my stash, bic marker for faux stitching, Stampin Up black ink, yellow, orange card stock from Spotlight, Stampin Up red card stock

Second card: Stampendous Elephant stamp, Lawn Fawn sentiment, Fiskars circle punch, card stock scraps, Stampin Up black ink

Black, white, red thank you

An elegant thank you card using the Taylored Expressions sketch. I am so impressed by all the comments I got on my other 3 flowers card from the Speedy Cat challenge, that I'm going to enter this one in the Mark's Finest Papers challenge (the 3 flowers are kinda hiding, but they're there). Aly's Sunday Challenge is to use flowers. Crafty Creations wants to the cards to "shine" and this black and white paper has got sparkly glitter and looks amazing in the light. Corrosive Challenge is celebrating flowers. Character Cafe is challenges us to use vellum.

Materials: cool black and white paper from my stash, Stampin Up red card stock, black card stock, vellum, white card stock, Stampin Up sentiment, Stampin Up square scallop punch, Fiskars Rotary scallop cutter

Venice

Okay, I love this card. I saw that City Crafter was having a challenge having to do with Venice and while I will admit that I've never been there, I happened to have a dear friend who is currently living there. I sent her an email asking for a photo, because she's quite the photographer and I knew she'd have a cool art shot. I woke up this morning with 25 photos in my in box. Oh my! I decided to use the Taylored Expressions sketch. Since I'd love to travel here, I'm going to add it to the Papertrey Peeps summer vacation challenge.
