truly butterfly card

A girlfriend's mother ordered 6 cards after I showed her the Etsy Inspired ones I made the other week. I've been slowly making them, since I can't seem to mass produce, they're all unique and fun. I added eyelets to this one. Crafty Creations is celebrating butterflies this week, so here's a card for their challenge. If you love this fun Hero Arts background, click here to get it for free through Two Peas in a Bucket.

Materials: Rosie's Studio butterfly stamp, Waltzingmouse Stamps Very Vintage Labels No. 4, Hero Arts digital friendship background, vellum, Making Memories black eyelets, Stampin Up water color pencils, white and black card stock, Fiskars rotary scallop cutter, Giesle's die cut machine

Celebrating Erin's birthday

It's my birthday! And I've decided that I should jump on board with all these lovely blog candy giveaways... so I've decided that I shall draw a random number from the comments of this post. The prize, an envelope packed full of birthday scraps. I recently cleaned and organized my craft desk and I've got a whole packet full of cupcakes and ice cream cones and other fun birthday stamped images. I wish I had fun real blog to give away, but considering how much I love sending mail, I figured this was the next best thing. Who knows what sort of birthday card you'll be inspired to make with my scraps?

So, in an effort to attract as many of you to this post I've made a birthday card that I can enter in a number of challenges. The sketch for this card is from The Sweetest Thing's Sunday Sketch. The colors are from Curtain Call- it's all Stacey's fault that I made the cake these colors, b/c she suggested it on her challenge (and now that I look at it, I'm thinking these are not my colors at all!). The pendants are from this week's Etsy Inspired challenge. Birthday challenges include: Everybody Art Challenge, Terrifically Thrilling Thursdays (celebrations), Crafty Creations (ice cream & cakes). Anything goes: Wee Memories. and Pile it On (favorite things- I can't say I love these colors, but I do love my Fiskars rotary cutter with the scallop blade, I use it all the time- so easy to spruce up a piece of paper with one little cut).

I used the digital image I won from the Character Cafe from their challenge last week, thanks guys! (It was a wedding cake, I just adapted it for my needs.)

Materials: The Character Cafe digital image, card stock from my stash, white gel pen, Paper Source circle punch, Fiskars rotary cutter with scallop blade

Ice Cream card

Another CAS card, imagine that! Thank you lovely Color Throwdown ladies for the shout out for last week's card, I felt so loved. This week's card uses the Color Throwdown colors. It also works for the Crafty Creations challenge for ice cream and cakes.

Materials: Hero Arts Clear Stamps ice cream stamp, misc card stock from my stash, Stampin Up Circle punch, Versacolor brown ink

Black, white, red thank you

An elegant thank you card using the Taylored Expressions sketch. I am so impressed by all the comments I got on my other 3 flowers card from the Speedy Cat challenge, that I'm going to enter this one in the Mark's Finest Papers challenge (the 3 flowers are kinda hiding, but they're there). Aly's Sunday Challenge is to use flowers. Crafty Creations wants to the cards to "shine" and this black and white paper has got sparkly glitter and looks amazing in the light. Corrosive Challenge is celebrating flowers. Character Cafe is challenges us to use vellum.

Materials: cool black and white paper from my stash, Stampin Up red card stock, black card stock, vellum, white card stock, Stampin Up sentiment, Stampin Up square scallop punch, Fiskars Rotary scallop cutter

Coffee cups

I made this card and kept thinking I would color in the coffee cups, but after awhile I decided that since I'm on a very CAS trend at the moment that I'd just leave them. And as a result, I can enter it in the Crafty Creations Challenge (Black, White and a splash of red). The card also works for the City Crafter Challenge of a button and bow (although now that I think of it I haven't tied a bow, just used ribbon... oh well, I like the card like it is...)

Thanks so Much- black, white & splash of red

A thank you card for this week's clean & simple sketch, plus Black, White and a Splash of Red for the Crafty Creations Challenges.

Materials: Black, white and red card stock, black ink, white ink, scallop cutter, Hero Arts sentiment
