WMS sketch, All Booked Up

I knew I was in trouble when Susan, at Simplicity, posted a blog post about the PTI set All Booked Up. I love reading, and obviously, I love making cards. The set is far too much fun and I've only had it in my hot little hands for 24 hours. This card uses the Waltzing Mouse Stamps sketch. Their sketches always push me to think outside my normal box, it's like a creative work out every week. I made the first attempt of this card yesterday, and left it to sit and think about it... then today I came back and added a few more smaller circles (I stamped a Stampin Up circle stamp on top of an already stamped image and then paper pierced it out to be different sizes). I'm not sure if I'm done tinkering with the card, but I think I'll post it and leave it, for now. KAH-Wink-E-Dink and Crafty Ho's are doing a challenge of primary colors, so I'll enter this in those challenges too.

Celebrate the Date/back to school

This week's Play Date Cafe colors are yellow/white and red and I loved Suzanne's literal take on the houses and colors, click here to see her card. I am very literal and I was definitely inspired to think about yellow and red houses, and Kathy's super cute digital ones are so easy to work with, click here. Kah-Wink-e-Dink is having a primary colors challeng this week, so these colors work well for that challenge. There's a number of back to school challenges at the moment and I'd been meaning to make some more cards with my cute Treehouse digital school buses. So thanks Hero Arts, Crafty Ho's and Treehouse Thursday Challenge for celebrating school. Simon Says Stamp is doing songs this week and my youngest son is a huge fan of "The Wheels on the Bus," I can just hear him now shouting the song out at the top of his lungs. Cute Card Thursday is having a "whateva" challenge.

Tricycle thank you

I made these CAS little thank you note cards for my son's preschool teachers as a goodbye present. Being me they're all just slightly different (I was having fun with the corner rounder). Thank you Susan at Simplicity for showing me that one layer cards can do the trick. I was inspired to make these based on this card. Critter Challenge is celebrating thank you cards this week. Crazy 4 Challenges is doing black/white and red. Crafty Ho's is doing black and white and one color.

A Warm Hello

This card uses the Mojo Monday sketch, love taking a sketch and making it my own. I punched out the circles with a Stampin Up punch, so I'll yet another card at Mark's Finest Papers Speedy Cat challenge (are you ladies sick of me yet?). The black circle with the white writing really does remind me of a chalk board (365 Cards) and the sentiment is Hero Arts, so I'll enter this in their July food challenge. Pile It On challenged us to use something Christmas related for a non-Christmas card, so I've used some Anna Griffin Christmas paper (for the circles). La-La Land Crafts & Crafty Ho's are doing B&W and one color. Crazy 4 Challenges is doing Black/White and red.
