A little something...

Greetings!  I've got a few cards to share.  I'm getting lazy when it comes to blogging (okay, that's not actually the case since I'm still super active when it comes to lots of things blogging, both card wise and professionally), but sometimes it means that I have a back log and I've been using my Instagram account to share things when I'm in a time crunch.  So, with that disclaimer in mind.... today's post.  The first card is for CASology "menu" challenge.  My second card is for the current Inspired By Challenge, I'm truthfully not much of a Halloween person- which is ironic since my mother is obsessed and our town is very over the top.  But, this Halloween inspired card is more up my alley.  My third card is for the Muse Club Challenge.  My coffee card was up on yesterday's post on Coffee Loving Cardmakers (sorry ~amy~ I'm late in sharing it here).  And my final card is another entry for the CASology challenge.

You got this!

Inspired by the current Muse Club Card-- I made the elephant card first and didn't love it (but don't worry, I mailed it anyway) and then went back to my tried and true latte love (and mailed that card too). TGIF!

coffee is always a good idea

Happy Tuesday!  Sneaking in a last minute entry to the MFT Color Challenge and b/c I was inspired, I used the MFT Sketch and am happy to add this to the Super star MFT challenge too.  My second card was inspired by the current Muse Challenge, thanks Tracey for the inspiration.

thanks and more

Happy Sunday.  I was inspired by the Muse Challenge and then ended up basically remaking this card, but opted to heat emboss the flower with vellum for a softer look.  It also works for the Where Creativity Meets C9 sketch.  My second project is too busy for me, but sometimes it's good for me to stretch myself.  I'm playing along with the MFT Birthday Challenge, make an interactive gift card holder.

you make me a happy camper and more!

Hello campers...  still feeling the aftermath of all the fires in California, my heart goes out to so many people.  We had a number of folks at the campground this weekend who were seeking better air, so even those who didn't lose their homes are being affected.  Here are a few cards I've made to make myself feel better.  The top card uses the sketch from Fusion Card Challenge.  The second card is for the Muse Challenge and I took a hint from Tracey and combined Altenew and Ellen Hutson for her Mix it up Challenge.  And the third card uses the current Reverse Confetti Sketch.

thank you for being particularly amazing friend

Playing along with the current Muse challenge, thanks Tracey for the inspiration of drops of color...  Happy Sunday, off for a big day at work....

birthday wishes

Playing along with the latest Muse Challenge, inspired by Jenni's card.  Her card has a bit of texture on the base, so I went for my fabulous pile of upcycled letterpress paper (don't tell the bride, but it's a wedding invitation my cousin-in-law gifted me from her place of employment).  I added a PTI flower and sentiment and kept it simple.

feel better

Happy Tuesday crafty peeps!  I wanted to play along with the new Muse Challenge to support Tracey.  And I've got a few fun video clips of our campground, here's the latest (you saw it here first!).  Wishing you all a fabulous day, my get well card wasn't inspired by anyone under the weather, but the font, so it'll go in the stash for an opportunity, thankfully everyone is currently healthy.

holidays tag and thank you card

I've got another tag for Tracey's 25 Days of Christmas Tags, this time I used her tag from Day #1.

And my second project was inspired by the latest Muse Club Challenge, I used a Hero Arts flower and sentiment and tried to break out of my normal colors....  Hope everyone had a great weekend...

Let it Snow and more...

Happy Sunday!  I forgot it was the PTI Blog Hop till about 15 minutes before I had to walk out the door for work, classic time management issues...  so I've got a CAS tag, I added some PTI trees behind the vellum and the die cut to the top, some May Arts ribbon and had to be okay with it.  The tin is wrapped with May Arts ribbon and has a hot cocoa mix inside.  Now if only winter would arrive?

This morning I made this card inspired by the latest Muse Club challenge.

stay cool tag

My friend Tracey is the Muse over at Muse Club and so I made a tag, I cannot remember the last time I inked up this PTI penguin... thanks for the inspiration.  My penguin would like to come over for a drink, he didn't have any to scale...  It of course is hot here in California...  sending cool vibes to you guys this fine Wednesday.  My other news is that I managed to find the surface of my craft desk, amazing, it was there the whole time!

happy birthday

I can always use more birthday cards and loved the pop of gold from this week's Muse Club Joan's card.  I'm teaching a card making class on Wednesday and I better decide which cards we're making... I think this one might make the cut?

coffee, leaves and celebrate cards

So ~amy~ is on a coffee theme this whole week, and I seem to make enough coffee cards to be able to last a whole week… so this is yesterday's card inspired by Alice's card on the coffee hop.  Great ideas start with coffee….  Below is a fall one layer card I made for last night's card class, which works well for the current Time Out Challenge "Stamping" (sorry no apples).

And lastly a card inspired by the Muse Club challenge b/c I finally broke down and ordered some Altenew stamps….

Happy Birthday wine tag

Birthday cheer with a wine bottle tag.  I was inspired by the Marion's Muse Club Challenge card.  I used the PTI Bigger Blooms flowers and sentiment, PTI tag it die, Hero Arts background stamp embossed in white.  I made the tag using a circle punch, PTI edgers die and corner rounder punch.  And since my wine tags are often a great way to display my May Arts ribbon addiction problem, this one uses May Arts burlap around the bottle and twisted burlap and striped ribbon.  Cheers, now all I need is an invite to a birthday party and I'm good to go.  Simon Says Stamp Wednesday challenge this week is "Tag it".

hello butterfly card

The Muse Club challenge is Therese's very cool card, and I experimented with this week's PTI Make It Monday challenge (instead of embossing ink I used clear embossing paste and the hexagon coverplate).  I stamped the Unity butterfly in white embossing powder first thinking it would show through, but it was too light (maybe I should've used something other then white?).  So I added a vellum buttefly and added some distress ink for the coloring.  I love the idea of this card, but there is a part of me that thinks if I redid it it would be better.  But that's not going to make today's agenda, so here's attempt #1 (and there may never be a redo!).  But I love tinkering away in my craft room...  so it served that purpose.

Happy Birthday Owl card

Good morning… playing along with the new Muse Club challenge, Marion's owl card inspired me to dig deep into my stash for the owl stamp I knew was hiding somewhere..  In addition to the long neglected stamp I've added some blue handmade Thai paper, my older son was looking for fabric in my stash (I suggested the felt on the shelf and he used some of the Thai paper for his teddy bear's quilt), so since he recently used the long hoarded paper (I got a large collection of it over a decade ago on a visit to the factory in Thailand), I figured, why not dust some of it off too and put it to work on a card?  I've added a Wplus9 sentiment and three different May Arts ribbon tabs.

oh happy day and more….

Oh, happy day!  I made a shaker card for the Simon Says Wednesday Challenge…  (This is the part where I confess that yesterday was my birthday and I made this card thinking of myself, grin).  Now, if only I can motivate to send it to one of the many fabulous people I love who celebrate birthday love with me in July (the list is far too long).

Next up a tag, super excited about the new Tag you're It challenge, and the first guest designer is the fabulous Virginia, so I had to play along.  I started off stamping the PTI tag with the In Bloom flowers (really need to use that set more often) and then b/c I couldn't fit the PTI wet paint die vertically I wanted to add another layer to the tag and since I have a (cough cough) messy desk, there are often scraps sitting at arm's reach for inspiration, so I used a tag I'd cut from one of the many letterpress wedding invites and added a whole layer of glitter watercolor and added a doily (b/c we don't actually need to read the directions to the wedding from 2013, right?).  And I added some May Arts silk and some vellum to the tag and presto.  Will have to put this tag on a card base and use it for one of the many birthday goodies I got…..

And the top card I wanted to have the background of the shaker card white, so I die cut the patterned paper and presto, had the pieces for a second card.  I'm using inspiration from Jen's Muse Club, you can see the inspiration, right?  Round… happy….  drinks on the beach?    Hope everyone had a great 4th of July weekend…
