thanks, warm winter wishes and piggy bank

Grab a cup of coffee and sit down, this is a jam packed post.... since a few of these challenges expire today/tomorrow, I wanted to get this post up before I head to work.

First up we've got the 365 Cards Super Sketchy Sunday card.  Check out the other fabulous DT cards for some fun inspiration.  I used this week's CR84FN colors and because I've added a little "thanks" tag so I'm going to enter it in the Lawnscaping Challenge.

Next up we've got The Craft's Meow sketch challenge.  Since I was lucky enough to win a set of stamps from the latest release I wanted to play along as my way of saying thanks. And since I opted for a larger tag (and put the sentiment in the, gasp, wrong spot) I want to enter this in this week's CAS-ual Friday "Tag It" challenge.

And for my last crafty project of the day I redecorated the tomato sauce jar into a piggy bank for the LESSology challenge "Jars of Cuteness".  Some of you may remember that our family lived in New Zealand for 5 1/2 years and while we've been back in the US for a little less then a year now I thought that it's probably not a bad time to start a "NZ fund" jar.  So I decorated the jar with some patterned paper with New Zealand images on it and made a fun little decoration on the top out of New Zealand postage stamps (that I have had in my stash since 2004 when I worked a temp job at the Ministry of Health in Dunedin).  The postage stamps are for Yvonne's Do More With Less Challenge.

If you've made this far, well done!

Materials: Thanks card: Hero Arts classic fabric cling, PTI In Bloom, PTI Tiny Tags stamps and die, PTI Mega Mat Stack 1 die EK Success 1 3/4th inch circle punch, PTI Photo Finishers die, ribbon from stash, water color pencils, Versafine black ink, vellum, cream card stock

Warm Happiness card: The Craft's Meow Vintage snowflakes, Cosmo Cricket Mitten Weather paper, Coredinations card stock, vellum, PTI Tag It #1 die, May Arts burlap string, Stampendous clear and white embossing powder, Versafine black ink, My Favorite Things scallop die, Recollections black rhinestones

You've got to be one busy lady...The piggy bank is such a fantastic idea! Good luck in filling that up cuz' I can't wait to see more gorgeous pictures from when you do go back to visit. And your cards are just so lovely. The bold background touched up with some dainty pink and the snowflakes on the second are divine!
