Etsy Inspired birthday card

This week's Etsy Inspired Challenge is a shop called Pegasus Maiden. I loved the bold red headband shown below. And I'm feeling rather organized, I'm going to send the card to my mother-in-law, who's birthday is in 2 weeks (perfect timing if you consider the international mailing times). For once, the card will get there in time! (I'm so organized ladies that I ordered her a photobook of the grandchildren online and had it directly sent to her house and it's already en route!). I'm also going to enter this in the new Caardvarks challenge, which is CAS (my kinda style).

Just Add Ink Dress Form birthday card

I borrowed this Stampin Up dress form stamp from my card making girlfriend and have been meaning to use it again (click here and here for the other two cards I made with it) before I have to return it. I saw the Just Add Ink colors and thought that would be a great color combination for these lovely dresses. And then I added the sentiment this time and I know just who to send this card too, I'm so organized- her birthday isn't for another 3 weeks! Just Add Ink ladies, thank you so much for all your lovely comments on my previous cards for your challenges. I also love the Australian slang on your blog- I saw the "just have a squiz" comment and knew you guys had to be somewhere down here in the southern hemisphere. That was one Kiwi slang that someone had to explain to me. Now that I look at the colors on this computer I'm thinking I should've used a more off white... please forgive the fact that the smaller computer showed the color as more of a white. Caardvarks is celebrating birthdays this month.

Dinosaur birthday card

We're still celebrating my birthday, click here for yesterday's post and blog candy giveaway. I was born on one side of the international date line and currently live on the other side (it's tomorrow here in New Zealand), so I think we should continue to celebrate my birthday- all you lovely folks in the US are on the right day!

This dinosaur birthday card uses the Card Positioning Sketch. It's also got three shades of green for the City Crafter Challenge. And Caardvarks is having a birthday challenge this month.

A one layered card with a flourish for Susan's Simplicity One Layer Wednesday challenge. Because there's a large letter the card also works for the Res Q Eye Chart challenge. And because the T is embossed I'll enter it in the Caardvarks & Flourishes embossing challenge.

Sunny Bicycle card

This bright summery bicycle card is for all sorts of challenges. The sketch is from the Mojo Monday site (I love how the rays of sunshine make up the little tabs). The bicycle is for Moxie Fab World "I Want to Ride my Bicycle" challenge. The bicycle itself is a Hero Arts stamp, so this will work well for their current summer challenge. And finally I tried embossing for the first time (on the sun) for the Caardvarks & Crafty Catz challenge.
