PDC Caravan/Trailer Card

This week's Play Date Cafe colors are dark brown, green and beige (which I decided to interpret as kraft). I was inspired by Savannah's super cute trailer/camping card, click here. I think I like her card better then mine, but I tried. I've stamped a Hero Arts tree stamp in versamark as the back ground, so it works for the Cute Card Thursday Tree-mendous challenge.

Materials: Paper Source trailer stamp, Hero Arts tree stamp, Versacolor Brown ink, Versamark, PTI kraft card stock, green card stock from my stash, Stampin Up Chocolate Chip card stock, Fiskars rotary scallop punch

Celebrate the Date/back to school

This week's Play Date Cafe colors are yellow/white and red and I loved Suzanne's literal take on the houses and colors, click here to see her card. I am very literal and I was definitely inspired to think about yellow and red houses, and Kathy's super cute digital ones are so easy to work with, click here. Kah-Wink-e-Dink is having a primary colors challeng this week, so these colors work well for that challenge. There's a number of back to school challenges at the moment and I'd been meaning to make some more cards with my cute Treehouse digital school buses. So thanks Hero Arts, Crafty Ho's and Treehouse Thursday Challenge for celebrating school. Simon Says Stamp is doing songs this week and my youngest son is a huge fan of "The Wheels on the Bus," I can just hear him now shouting the song out at the top of his lungs. Cute Card Thursday is having a "whateva" challenge.

Materials: Treehouse stamps digital school bus, Kathy Martin digital houses, Hero Arts Clear design sentiment, PTI cloud stamped on graph paper, yellow patterned paper from stash, Red Stamping Up designer paper, black card stock, white gel pen, Fiskars rotary scallop cutter, Brillance Moonshine white ink, Stampin Up black ink, Making Memories eyelet punch for tire holes, Stampin Up red card stock

Truly black, white and spash of green

I think this week's colors at Play Date Cafe are lovely, and you've got to go check out the DT stunning cards. I was inspired by their butterfly theme. I've included a few other challenges too, the sketch from Unscripted Sketches (I know they're flexible, so it's a rough take on the 50 yard line sketch card. I've paper pierced out a butterfly, so here's another card for the ABC Design Blog paper piercing challenge. Cute Card Thursday is "texting crazy" and I've printed out the Hero Arts digital Friendship sentiment.

Materials: Black card stock, white card stock, vellum, green art paper from stash, Stampin Up butterfly and flourish, Hero Arts digital Friendship sentiment, Making Memories white eyelets, Brilliance white ink, Stampin Up black ink

Yellow & Gray Friends

I'm not sure folks really want to hear all the details on how some of my cards come to life. I have a very non-linear train of thought and sometimes it's hard to follow along. I saw this lovely color inspiration challenge on Deb's Paper, Ink, Scissors, & Stamps blog and thought it was a great color combination. Then I was thinking about the current 2 Sketches 4 You sketch and wanted to do something with words, but then I printed the Hero Arts digital image too large. So somehow, the card turned out like it is- which is very similar to Deb's DT card... I didn't indeed it to be that way. Will have to try another version for the sketch challenge... but in the mean time here's a very CAS Friends card. Its for the Stamp Simply color challenge. And since it's got a quote about friends it'll work well for the Simon Says Stamps friends challenge. And while hunting for the right shade of grey I decided to recycle the cardboard that came in the card stock packet which works for the Cute Card Thursday recycle challenge. Hope the lovely folks at Cute Card Thursday don't get sick of me this week, such a great challenge!

3 Flowers

A cute little card for this week's Moxie Fab World Tuesday Trigger. I don't normally make black cards, but I thought my CAS approach worked well, even with the absence of my need for white. Mark's Finest Papers is having a Speedy the Cat's Friend Challenge to use 3 flowers. Cute Card Thursday challenge is to Reuse, Renew & Recycle and I stamped one of the flowers on an envelope from my friend, I'm a paper hoarder and I liked the shade of red. Glad I could put it to use. The other two flowers were scraps from my overflowing collection of papers. Other Lovelies is having a flower themed challenge.

Materials: Hero Arts stamp (cut the flowers out of a larger Hello stamp), black & white card stock, Making Memories eyelets, Fiskars scallop cutter, Red/White/Yellow scraps
