Hoping you're fully recovered soon

 The inside of the card.

One of my gym buddies broke her leg vaccuming- how awful can that be? So our workout group has decided to send her a card, and I sold them on my services.  I had been trying to come up with a use for this week's Play Date Cafe colors, and ladies there are a few random pieces of other attempts sitting in my scraps drawer, but decided to stick to my CAS style and limit the color.  And while I was doing CAS I thought I'd retry this week's CAS-ual Fridays "buttons and twine".  So I've gone for the button throw pillow with Twinery lilliac twine accent.  Lawnscaping Challenge is polka dots and yes, I know I'm missing a Lawn Fawn stamp on this card, but who can resist a polka dot couch?  Lily Pad Cards is having an embossing challenge this month and I love the texture the swiss dots adds to this card.

This was attempt one for the card for the girlfriend, I recycled one of these cards (which I'd sold to my grandma and then she sent to me!) and added a new sentiment.  But since Tiffany Doodles and ABC Design Blog are celebrating flowers this month, I'll add this card to those challenges.  I think I'll send the card back to my grandma.

You are an inspiration, plus winners!

I love that I've made all sorts of cards this week, but hadn't actually made one for my mom for Mother's Day, oops.  I found this sheet of SRM stickers at Ben Franklin and thought that I should make some cards for my girlfriend's Avon Breast Cancer Walk, but I haven't actually made them yet...  so when looking for the right sentiment for my mom I thought this one was perfect.  I've also used this week's Waltzingmouse Sketch Challenge and the Play Date Cafe colors.  I've used some faux stitching to try to cover the clear vellum double sided tape for Yvonne's "Do More with Less" challenge.  Tiffany Doodles and ABC Design Blog are celebrating flowers this month, and I think the WMS Big Blooms set is great, especially colored in with water colors.

Right, now more importantly... blog candy winners!!!  Thank you for all the comments over the last week, such fun to see such fabulous blog love.  Because I've been lucky to win a number of things in the past, I wanted to have as many winners as possible.  So, with the help of Random.org here we go.

Sweetie

PTI's very first Make It Mondays challenge has a great video and tutorial.  My first attempt (b/c there's another in the wings) was to make a Valentine's Day card with a collection of sentiments.  I've used the Off the Wall Craftiness colors.  I've included one Hero Arts sentiment (sweetie) to make this work for their Valentine's day month long challenge.  I'm also going to enter this in Tiffany Doodle's Valentine's Day challenge.  And lastly I want to include 2 photos of my work-in-progress craft space, b/c it's been a long time since I played with the fabulous What's On Your Work Desk Wednesday gang.

Retro Tulip Sympathy Card

365 Cards has this lovely photo as their Ad Inspired challenge and I immediately thought of the Jane Beljio Retro Tulip. I printed the digital tulip on a fun dandelion poem that my blogging friend Karen created. Originally I was thinking I'd do something black and white like the photo (b/c I have literal issues), but when I went to see what the current Squigglefly Challenge was it was for brown & cream sympathy card, since I already had cream going, I figured I'd work some brown into it. Tiffany Doodles is celebrating flowers all month long, so I'll add this to their current challenge. Sentimental Sundays is having an anything goes week, so here's another card for that challenge.

Materials: Jane Beljio Digital Retro Tulips, PTI sentiment, Karen Baker digital dandelion poem background, Stampin Up Chocolate Chip Designer papers, Fiskars tag punch, cream twine, Stampin Up black ink, Stampin Up green watercolor pencils and blender pen

Birthday Wishes

This week's Cas-tastic Wednesday challenge was to CASE one of the design team's cards. I already did a fun one based on Agata's card, click here to see that. But since I've become blogging pals with Karen (okay, I admit it, I'm cyber stalking her, but she's too friendly to tell me to get a life!), I wanted to do another entry for the challenge based on her lovely birthday card. And while I'm making a birthday card, I'll enter it in this week's Party Time Tuesday & Crafty Cardmakers "anything goes" birthday challenge. Tiffany's Doodles challenge this month is flowers and Sentimental Sundays is having an "anything goes" challenge this week. Simon Says Stamps is doing songs and I think this one makes me sing "Happy Birthday to you, Happy Birthday to you..."

Materials: Stampin Up flower stamp, PTI sentiment, Stampin Up Rose red ink, Stampin Up watercolor pencils and blender pen, cream brad

365 Cards Guest Designer Card

Pam, at 365 Cards, asked me to be a guest designer for their celebration for reaching 1000 followers. I was honored to be asked to be one of the 11 guest designers. My challenge-- to use a digital image with at least one stamped image. I chose one of the freebies at Tiffany Doodles and had fun stamping the paper with W Plus 9 woodgrain first and then printing the birdhouse on top. Tiffany Doodles is also having a challenge for "birds and windows." Sweet Stampin Challenge is celebrating things with wings. Pile It On is having a favorite things this week and I just love Dawn's W Plus 9's woodgrain, it's so great to add an extra layer to some cards.

Please join me at 365 Cards for this challenge, the prize this week is a $20 gift certificate to Prickley Pear.
