Coffee projects... They bring me joy... I don't always send them, but I enjoy making them. I bought the new Hero Arts Coffee Cup set... The top tag was me having fun... The bottom card... I'm not sure there's something about it that I don't love.... the sketch is from Retro Sketches and the pop of green is for A Blog Named Hero "Pop of Color" challenge. Now I'm dreaming of another cup of coffee... who's coming to visit me at work?

the adventures begins
The adventure begins... actually the adventure already began (talking about the little campground project of ours), but the Hero Arts sentiment seemed like a good fit for this card.... (notice the uphill slant?). I used the Retro Sketches as my inspiration. I've used an Avery Elle trailer, Hero Arts sentiment and trees, PTI tag and patterned paper and a MFT border die. Happy Sunday folks, I'm off for a walk and then back to the delightfully busy motel world of mine.

thanks so much tag
Two cards for two sketch challenges, the top one is for MFT Sketch, I used a MFT die, Altenew blooms and a Verve sentiment. The second card is for Retro Sketches... and the sad thing is that I made this card and then forgot to give it to the fabulous new person named Otis (he's only a week old, so he'll probably forgive me).

this girl runs on coffee
Just a little pick me up.... Who can resist a coffee-centric sketch? Thanks Retro Sketches for the inspiration (and ~amy~ for the head's up).

keep in touch
Inspiration from the latest Retro Sketches, which was inspired by this card, which I obviously CASEd. ~amy~ wondered how I have time to keep up with my crafty agenda, and I've got to tell you that making greeting cards (that I stick in a box and don't always use) is part of my sanity check at the moment (that and the gym). I'm making these for me... to tune out and get crafty....

smile
Smile... this card was inspired by the December Altenew Challenge and ~amy~'s card from yesterday (look I have glassine bags after all!).
And this thanks card was inspired by the Retro Sketches Challenge. Simon Says Wednesday Challenge is having an Anything Goes week, so I'll play along too. Hope everyone is enjoying their weekend. I went out exploring today for a bit, click here to view a preview photo.

happy happy birthday
Happy happy birthday, inspired by the Altenew October Challenge and the Retro Sketches. Lots going on in my little world, forget that maybe some of my crafty peeps would like an update… Last week the campground we've been in the process of working on was approved for its use permit, read more about it here. My next card making class is Wednesday, November 5th, details here, but if you want to join please let me know by the 3rd. And my photo taking fun has been going a bit over board on my Instagram account, click here. TGIF!

you're amazing tag
I love making tags... and I'm sad to admit that I don't usually have a use for the tags, just like making them, sometimes I feel like they're faster then a card... who knows. Anyhoo, today's Retro Sketches inspired today's tag... I came home from 3 days of skiing to my box of PTI goodies, so I've put to use the new scribbles and building block die and sentiment, with some May Arts ribbon (I dyed the silk to match the PTI ink).

happy....
I know it's Christmas and I'm making a birthday card, but... that's where my inspiration led me. (Thanks ~amy~ for sending me down the path to Retro Sketches' latest challenge). And while I started this card with one of the Basic Grey stickers in mind for the sketch, I ended up ignoring the circle on the sketch, be proud- literal girl over here is making progress. I'm also playing along with the PTI Make It Monday A La Carte challenge for inlaid die cuts, which I didn't play along with when Betsy first did the video, but have used the technique since then (see last week's New Year's cards). I've used PTI dies (One Liners, Beautiful Beads), Basic Grey Knee Highs and PTI Big Birthday Wishes. Have a merry, merry Christmas, I'm just eagerly awaiting those little people, the light in their eyes with the holidays is what being a parent is all about.

heard you needed a lift
Waltzingmouse Stamps is having a Pajama party and I've missed their weekly sketch challenge and am excited to play along. There are several different themes in the party, I opted for the "In the Background" challenge (background stamping). I love that this challenge inspired me to pull out Half Pint Heroines and a somewhat neglected background stamp from Impression Obsession. And since I had out a hot air balloon I was also inspired to play along with the current Retro Sketches. A fabulous little card for someone who might a little cheer in their mailbox.

Friday Cards, congrats times 4
Grab a cup of coffee, I finally got the time to finish up a card order that's been on the to do list, so I've got a few cards to share.
The first one uses this week's Play Date Cafe colors, some fun Lawn Fawn paper and background stamp, LYB paper, Paper Smooches sentiment and some May Arts twisted burlap.
Next up I've got a card inspired by this week's MUSE Challenge. I've used some gelatos, PTI tag and sentiment and some May Arts faux canvas ribbon.
This card (which I think is my favorite of the 4), is for this week's PTI Make It Monday (embossed colored vellum flowers). I've used the PTI In Bloom flower and Thing Big sentiment, Cuttlebug embossing folder, doily and 3 different May Arts ribbons (satin pleats, leaves and faux canvas).

let's chat
Let's chat about me sitting down to get organized for my kids Valentine's Day workshop and making a card that has nothing to do with the class... let's chat about the mess that is still sitting there from last night that perhaps need attention... let's chat about the work to dos that never made it off the list yesterday... okay, enough chatting, time to get moving huh? I've used this week's ColourQ colors and Retro Sketches and Simons Says Challenge is having an "Anything Goes" challenge.

B card
I made this card last weekend with the Retro Sketches in mind and after I sent it off to the card order I decided it wasn't my favorite card.., but oh well I don't have to love every single one right?, I mailed off the card order (see below).
And for those you who missed yesterday's post with me crafting in my ski clothes... here are a few photos to share of the actual skiing :)

love, happy valentine's day
I'm teaching a Valentine's Day card class on Wednesday at my local Ben Franklin, and I have to admit with the madness of the holidays and the extra work hours, I hadn't actually figured out what cards we were going to make this this afternoon. (Procrastinators unite!) So today I made this card, which uses the Retro Sketches challenge and one of the Colour Q colors (they're having a pick any one you want from 2012 challenge). Better figure out the other two cards here pronto!

happy birthday
Happy Birthday! So my fabulous friend Vicki in England ordered some greeting cards and wanted this card, but since I mailed it to my sister in law, I had to remake the card (but I really don't like making the same card, so I mxed it up a bit, but keeping the same feel). I found inspiration in the Retro Sketches challenge (if you rotate the sketch) and since Rose is now on the Seize the Birthday DT I thought I'd add this to their new challenge. And if any of you live in California (or nearby) and are thinking of a getaway, check out my insane giveaway on my work blog, you wont be able to come up with an excuse not to visit if you win!!! And if you're looking for my 365 Cards Super Sketchy Sunday project please click here and don't forget to come back tomorrow for a super fun May Arts blog hop!
